Invited in to the Soft Opening, took in the great new remodel for a good 45 min and spoke with 1 of the owners of the property. Told to make ourselves at home until 1 of the Convention managers escorted us out cause I didn't have my phone with the invitation email. Not a good start for this new property. Property and rebrand look Great! Staff needs a little hospitality training.....
Went to the grand opening today. Nice but i will not be back. They knew that it was going to be crowded and they were not prepared. Have to stand in an hour line to cash in chips after gambling because the cage line is full of people wanting loyalty cards.
Virgin and Mohegan are not ready for Vegas level crowds. Do not bother go to the casinos that know how to mange Vegas.
Just checked in yesterday. There are multiple parking garages so choose the one closest to your room/tower. So far, the hotel is fantastic...much bigger than I was expecting. ONE Steakhouse looks amazing. Casa Calavera is both beautiful and delicious. Can't wait to experience more of the hotel and it's surroundings.
Went to the opening night, March 25, 2021. Great crowd. Nice interior, bars, restaurants, and markets, Will have to try the hotel next time.
This used to be home to the hardrock casino. However the experience I have had with Virgin has been a bad experience. The rooms were ok however the beds were very hard not comfortable to sleep in at all. I was there opening night and there were so many issues with the slot machines. I waited for 45 minutes to get paid due to the machine not functioning properly. We went to eat at The Kitchen and the food was not great but it was not all that bad either. The hotel charges a 100 dollar deposit that is supposed to be refundable however that is not the case they actually charge the 100 dollars and when I called them about it all I kept getting was the run around. Overall with the experience I had I will never return to the property. There are plenty of other places in Las Vegas that will treat you right and provide you with an amazing experience. Unfortunately this is not that place.
