Reviews from visitors:
For a large property located on the very south end of the strip, it has an extensive amount of slot machines. A person could wander for hours just getting familiar. Restaurants range from fine to casual. But the atmosphere feels festive everywhere. You can feel energy every minute your inside. This appeals to gamblers and non gamblers alike. There's so much parking around this casino it isn't difficult to be searching upon leaving. All said, it remains among the top of my list.
Lots of dining choices. We've eaten at the Mexican restaurant (very good) and their Sushi restaurant (outstanding). Their staff is always friendly and we have never felt rushed to leave after finishing our meals. They are very good at making suggestions from the menu, both meals and drinks. We are regulars and will continue going there to eat when we want to enjoy a night out.
The casino is not terribly smoky (we prefer non-smoking venues), and the cocktail servers are fairly attentive. We've had better, but certainly have had a lot worse drink service while gambling at other local casinos. South point is in our top 3 favorite places to frequent.
We enjoy this casino as it has a lot of things to do. The equestrian center is cool too. We had fun at a rodeo there once. It's not the largest or fanciest casino and it's decor is dated but you can still go to the buffet! Overall, it's a decent place to visit if you take the time to explore all its areas.
I love South Point the suites are roomy, the comps are convenient and come in handy. The food is delicious, the servers are always there when you need a refresher. The slots have always been generous with me. There is not one area that is lacking. The room prices are reasonable too.
Good luck at the tables!
This hotel&casino is nice and clean in a really nice area. If you need the "rush" of the strip it's a 5 min ride. Rooms are big and really nice. The food at all the establishments I've eaten at have really good food. There are a couple fast food options and ICE CREAM! They have one of the best bowling alleys I've bowled at and all the best slots and table games including a great poker room. My wife (the gambler) and I have stayed all over Vegas for the past 21 years. South Point has become one of our favorite casinos and very well may become THE casino for us in the future. I recommend staying here
