The Thunderbird is centrally located near the Arts District, Gold n Silver Pawn Shop featured on TV's Pawn Stars, and Fremont St/Downtown Las Vegas. A lot of amenities (bar and restaurant) were closed due to Covid, but the rooms are nice and the pool was sparkling clean. Ice machines and plenty of parking rounded out a perfect stay. I've recommend this place to cost-conscious friends from out of town and never had any bad feedback. I'll give it a fourth Star once it fully reopens, any time now...
The room was clean and looked nice, but definitely smelled like someone had smoked in it. The area is hella sketchy! The room served its purpose, but I would not stay here again. Definitely did not feel safe leaving anything in my car or walking nearby. Lots of people taking drugs in the alleyway behind the hotel.
Beautiful almost boutique style motel. Cooperative staff. Non smoking property with good covod precautions.
If you are familiar with the difference of Hotel and Motel, this is really a Motel. The room i had was nice. Would like to see a mini fridge though.
The neighborhood is in a slightly shady area but was fine for the price and walking to 7/11 or Walgreens was only 5 minutes. Just down the road from the Strat.
Overall it was a good stay for a good price. Needs mini fridges though.
