Not easy to find, but well worth it. The food and views were both stunning. We received excellent service at the hands of Sweta who delighted us and made some great recommendations.
Beautiful location and easy access to Lagos and the Algarve coastline. The gardens are pretty and vistas over the beach are inspiring. Excellent breakfast spread with the best fresh fruits and granola. The spa treatments are perfect. Our suite was well appointed.
This hotel is absolutely overpriced (350€ per night for my experience). See other comments below having the same advice.
Im sure this hotel was once really amazing with a stunning view, but we felt the owner now doesn’t take care of it : almost no staff, only by phone, many small problems (empty reception, light in the bathroom, dark corridor, shower broken, outdated decoration, swimming pool unavailable the first day,...)
These problems are not huge and can be fixed, and I’ve had a big dispute with the owner about that (leading to refund of 2nd night and departure) : I understand these problems are not blocking the holidays, but when you pay 350€ per night, you expect to have something much better. Of course, for 200-250, it would be fair and the view would be enough, but 350 to have only a beautiful view is (by far !!) overpriced compared to the other 5* in Algarve
Last point, the owner and the team often don’t wear mask (I had to ask the owner to put her mask when we were arguing), and don’t ask clients to wear the mask
Morning yoga and breakfast exceeded expectations! Beautiful setting and incredibly polite and friendly staff. Such a lovely morning!
Absolutely gorgeous spot for a relaxing getaway. Easy to get to by car, and very close to Lagos central (less than 5 min drive). Within walking distance of Ponte do Piedade, which is breathtaking. A 5 minute walk (by the garden pathway) the other direction to Praia Canavial which is a lovely beach. Excellent breakfast to start the day and truly lovely staff. Lovely clean pool and lounge area. Highly recommended for a couples trip.
