Worst hotel I can ever imagine . Ruined my entire holiday, having contacted the hotel suites to make sure booking arrangements were in place for me. Luca the owner is deceitful and I am now out of pocket because they gave my booking away to someone else. I planned on having a lovely holiday, and it’s also ruined and that’s the memory I will take away. There’s no one else I can contact to have my money refunded, wish I’d never booked and read all the reviews about how weird and strange this place is.
The worst in the world!
I have been traveling in the entire world and never had I encountered such an experience. I have been abused to the point of full anxiety and PTSD by the owners of this place. I have veen harassed. I was suposed to stay there for a month but left after 4 days. The last draw was when a woman came to the room speaking in Italian to me and my biyfriend, and who told us that we cannot stay inside our own room and that the owner's mother (apparently who the crazy Italian woman was?) has to come inside the room when she wants to. Because it is HER house. Not to clean but to check. They never said what to check. They never had any type of rule and I strongly believe that it is illegal about the amount of time you spend in your iwn room. Maybe she wanted to steal. Or god knows what. They wanted us to leave the room each day and to let them come in whenever they want to. They have told us to not use the air conditioning because they pay the electricity. They used an argument about a discount (they discounted a small amount for a full month stay in an off sason period, from 1500 to 1300 euro) that they offered to us by email from the first time we talked- no favors there!). The air con was used by us to warm up. They said they have heating, on booking where they advertise tgemselves. But once we got there they told us not to use the air con in our room. And manipulated my boyfriend into submission to the point he said Sorry...we will not use it.
Every single mistake that they made and there were countless, they turned it back on us and becane aggressive and manipulative. A clear behaviour of narcissistic disorder and psychopats. I am a therapist, by the way. Still, with all my experience, I have bern left traumatised by this experience.
They have lied about every single thing. They were nice when communicating by email but were completely transformed upon arrival. They did not respect our need. Their wifi did not work. Not even for a full hour. It then stopped for the remaining of the four days we stayed there. Our main need was the wifi as we work remotely. They promised a good Internet connection (btw, I have all communication saved) and it is exactly what they failed to provide from day one. The wife became aggressive and actually was fighting at my boyfeiend and belittling him and humiliated him because we dared to call and signal the internet loss. She told him to go work somewhere else...that they are not obliged to offer us internet (they promised initially) and that they are not a HOTEL. What is their name on google maps?
We lost a full day of work to relocate and to walk in the sun and heat to the point where I fainted. From the stress and troubled they caused.
They smiled and every time we signaled a mistake, the owner either ignire or acused back or said "Sorry". Actually my boyfriend talked to the owner, Luca, at the end as i honestly felt I am not safe in his presence and feared physical violence. That man is a brute. He disturbed another customer by entering her room at night. When sge came out to ask what happened he just said sorry and smiled
He has no sense of accountability.
This property should never be allowed to offer tourist services again.
Their swimming pool was dirty and apparently according to them it was to be fixed on the 2nd day. It never was.
They did renovations in the house and drilled the walls. You can imagine the noise you hear. They blamed it on the Portuguese services and said "This is the south of south of Europe". Also the pool was apparently the fault of the portuguese workers. Same about the Internet. They never fixed it. It was off until the day we left. Totally off!
Our need for a holiday and a working holiday was ruined. We lost money. Time. Eneregy. We were harrased. And humiliated at all counts.
To them we were jyst a cash machine. And a problem to solve that they did not want to bother with.
They also lied A LOT. Followed our every single move. Followed our air con consumption. Our internet consumption. And at the end our stay in our own room.
Excellent in all very nice clean elegant even refined I recommend it
