Budget friendly and good hotel. Rooms are decent, Big enough and clean. Big advantage is location. It is right opposite of train station so you can leave easily for 5 terre. Near to city centre so many restaurants at walking distance. Highly recommended.
Very bad experience with the hotel and is not worthy of any star from me, the heater is not working and the toilets hot water is very cold and the reception are very rude to customers thanks
Note that this is about an experience I had back on July 10, 2017. But for what it's worth, I found a BED BUG in this hotel that day.
Actually I had asked to see the room before checking in, and looked for bed bugs. Didn't see any, so I checked in, went back up to the room, still refrained from placing my gear on the bed, checked the sheet again, AND THERE S/HE WAS. (I'd never seen one IRL before.) Horrified and disappointed (as was tired and sweaty and had been looking forward to a few supercomfy nights after a 12 h train ride and whatnot), I grabbed my gear and ran like hell. With the bed bug in a piece of paper. To the reception. They didn't seem suitably upset, and started to hand me the key to another room. UM, NO THANKS. Apparently it was impossible to give me all the money back; they kept about €10. (But will hopefully have lost more than that once I'm done warning people about their pest problem. *lolz*)
We booked for 1 room double and we have 2 separed beds but we said OK no problem but its a problem. The bathroom was not clean, the soap from the people before us was always in the bathroom when we arrived.
The shower head leaves something to be desired and where you put your feet in the shower too. Pay 70 euros for this kind of room is inadmissible.
In the drawers were found cigarette filters, boxers belonging to the people who slept there before us !!! The fan burned when it was lit because I think it was too old, there is just 2 buttons instead of 4. The cleaning has not been done and its shows. They don't speak english, just the employee. At 1hour a.m we can't enter inside the hotel.
There was no bath mat. Only clean towels and clean sheets, the bare minimum. The rest is inadmissible
I would rather give a 3.5. Excellent location, right infront of the La Spezia Central railway station. Friendly staff and budget stay. Spacious rooms. Cleanliness needs some attention. The bathroom was good and had hot water 24/7. Toiletries were provided. Slept with my boxers and had no problem at all. No lift.
