We were a group of friends and one of us got her valued item stolen from a person from the staff.
Even though we had proof who that was, the staff didn't help, instead of that they lied to protect their colleague.
Avoid this place!
Our stay at Apart Hotel & Cabanas Vegasur was terrible from start to finish. First they tried to make us (Europeans) pay for the VAT for lodging, then it took forever to finalize the registration. The apartment itself was very small and the bathroom very dirty. And to finish off, an expensive jewelry item “went lost“ and mysteriously reappeared two days after, but only after we filed a complaint with the PDI (surveillance tapes don’t lie)! I’d definitely avoid this place!!
You should avoid this establishment by all means !!!
Rooms (apartment) are small, dirty and do not match at all the pictures you can see on the web.
We were travelling with a group of friends (from Europe) and some their expensive items went "lost". We had to file a formal complaint with the local police "PDI" (which was really helpful and reactive) in order to retrieve the said items as per miracle 2 days after.
The staff did not help at all and tried to slow down the recovery process.
Last but not least, they tried to invoice us the VAT which is not due in Chile for non-residents.
Foreigners are not welcome and they are plenty of others places in la Serena where the hosts will be happy to welcome you.
You have been warned (by a local).
Great place awsom Bungalow great mattress close to the beach but also has a pool great breakfast.
