Lovely little boutique hotel. The decor is on point, the breakfast is vast, the staff is friendly, the rooms are very nice, the grounds are well maintained. Simply lovely. Would definitely stay again if I was every back in La Serena, as I imagine it's the best place in the entire town.
Cannot say enough about our boutique hotel in La Serena, called "Primera Hacienda." Incredibly lovely with just 8 rooms. The owner grew up in the house, which was built by her grandfather. She and her husband have created an oasis in the middle of the city, where we felt like royalty. The dining room toward the back of the property is their newest addition, where they serve amazing dinners (for guests of the hotel only) cooked by her husband, Roberto. He is from Argentina and made us delicious steaks, pastas and risottos. Delicious breakfast is also served in this room every morning to guests. Highly recommended.
Is much better than it's street appearance! Nice rooms, very comfortable bed, helpful and friendly staff. Well placed for excursions to the observatory (at Vicuna) and into the mountains.
Small and Central in la Serena. Family run hotel with homemade breakfast, and dinner by request. Very good. Hospitable and friendly and classy!
