We booked this hotel to celebrate my daughter's lifelong dream of visiting for her Sweet 16. Due to COVID-19, we were forced to cancel our trip. I immediately contacted all 4 hotels we had booked in Japan and every hotel EXCEPT this one refunded our stay. I have contacted this hotel three times now and they refuse to refund even a portion of our stay even though it is completely our of our control to travel. Very dishonorable and unscrupulous during these times.

Great desk staff and greeting, very nice room but no English speaking TV, great breakfast, great location. Close to major streets, restaurants, and a friendly liquor store up the street. Would definitely recommend to family or friends visiting there.
Very nice and quiet boutique hotel, ideally located in Kyoto not far from the river with friendly staff, both Japanese and foreigner. The breakfast is Japanese style, fresh and tasty. The room was pretty and correctly sized for two. The staff was very helpful in making reservations for us for restaurants and other services.
A privilege to stay here. Amazing staff. The perfect choice if you're looking for a genuine, authentic, and unique experience. The best.
