Reviews from visitors:
The hotel is nice with well furnished and clean rooms. The restaurant offers a wide variety of typical Japanese food. The position is strategic (few meters walk from the train station) and there is a direct ingress to the 7 eleven open 24/7. Only two points of improvement: the concierges (at least the ones I spoke with) don't speak English and the check in is possible only after 3pm. For the latter no exceptions are allowed so after 16 hours of flight + train I simply had to wait until 3pm to have access to my room.
Decent new hotel. Don't wipe t great service it is a no frills hotel. If you want an extra pillow you have to go to front desk..they will not bring to your room. Horrible coffee...bring your own.
7-11 connected to it so super convenient.
Really small rooms, but functional. Aslwesome location 5 minute walk to Kyoto train station I would stay again.
A really great hotel walking distance to the train / shikensen station in Kyoto. The rooms are fairly large for Japan standards. The whole hotel is really clean and and bright. Mike Macauly would really appreciated the lobby doorway access to the 7 11. Nothing like going to a 7 11 in your house slippers.
Lovely new hotel with decent sized rooms for the location and price.
Booked two Superior Twin rooms for the four of us with separate toilet and shower – this seemed to make the room more spacious and practical for everybody! Staff/housekeeping was always so lovely, taking the time to greet you whenever you walked past. English was no problem!
Really close to Kyoto station, but if you aren't arriving from the main JR lines then you might get lost before finding the most convenient way out of the station and to the hotel.
The 7/11 connected to the hotel was super convenient, entrance to the hotel from inside of it is protected by your room card, just like the elevators.
We tried the breakfast one morning which was amazing! Most of the food was Japanese style, it was all very unique and varied. Highlights included the fried/tempura items, udon and the veggie side dishes.
Check-out was super convenient, just insert your room card into the machines (like most hotels in Japan) and you're on your way.
Also conveniently located next to a MK taxi station, where you can sit and wait for a taxi and a staff member will be there to guide you, ask you were you are going etc. If you are travelling with a family and luggage they have larger sized vehicles to accommodate you. They speak English and prices are similar to other local taxis.
Would stay at this hotel again, even if it's just for the breakfast!
Really new hotel - looks great and is very clean. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are about average size for a Japanese hotel (i.e. a little smaller than North American hotels). Location is great as you are just across the road from Kyoto station
