Stepping into this boutique hotel is like stepping back in time of old grand Shanghai. Everything from the choice of music, to the cutlery, and the furnishings it is like another world of its own. Although I was a bit bumped that they didn't have an on site parking, they had awesome staff. Elder especially was so helpful. He's the reception, the housekeeping, and also the F&B manager. Thanks for such a wonderful and lovely stay cation
Simple hotel, great location with a lot of cafe and bar options nearby. Not to mention the cool shower and toilet area at the balcony, worth trying ;)
An effort to return grace and elegance of old Chinatown can be felt as one admires this restored gem from the outside. But nothing can beat the feeling of spending a night or two at TianJin as the rooms transports your senses, from the wooden finishing to white linens, Chinese tea set and piss pot for a rubbish bin, the people who run this establishment really put in a lot of effort to ensure guests' comfort, experience and memories are authentically romanticised by a time wrapped experience to a simpler era not long ago. Highly recommended.
Quiet, nice view into a patio, free drinking water, very central, 1 coffee per person per day included, the whole theme of the room was lovely implemented, no cleaning if not explicitly wanted! All hotels nowadays should do this. And not automatically clean the room and wash the towels every day. Absolutely recommend!
Clean. Comfortable. Cool style. Great value. Only 15 rooms and a nice throwback Chinese design. Shower and toilet on the balcony is a best twist.
