This is a perfect place, and staff is amazing. food is delicious and they have very nice bar also. All places like embassy, airlines offices and shopping center are nearby.
The hotel advertises itself as a 4-star hotel but is far from that, even by Nepali standards. They advertise a free airport pickup, but even after they confirmed by email twice that they would pick us up, there was no one to pick us up when we arrived. Not quite the warm welcome we were expecting. Their food leaves little to be desired. They served us cold potatoes for breakfast, along with their powdered coffee. If you must stay here, go to Blueberry Cafe next door for breakfast. They are listed as a quarantine hotel, but workers told us that there was no need to wear masks in shared spaces indoors. Witnessed cooks coughing over food while cooking. Overpriced and not worth the value. Broken elevator daily. We checked out early and they stated they would work with Expedia to grant a refund, but that didn’t happen.
Awesome place to stay. Very nice hospitality. I stayed with my family and enjoyed the stay.
After checking different hotels, we settled for Dom Himalaya and am happy about my decision. Friendly and accommodating staff. Doesn't look like much from the main road but when you enter, it's a good experience and looks very nice. It has a bar and restaurant too. Located in Thamel which is centrally located close to important offices like embassy, airline office, hospital for RT-PCR test etc..
It was a fantastic stay at the DOM HIMALAYA HOTEL. It is super clean and neat place to stay.
