Kona Bali Kaio is a condo complex with oceanfront and near-oceanfront units managed by a variety of people. The property itself is great, its location superb, resort's amenities totally adequate!
IMPORTANT NOTE: EACH UNIT IS INDIVIDUALLY OWNED AND MANAGED. There are 10-Star units and 1-Star units at this resort. Be sure to review the individual unit's photos and reviews and you will know exactly what you are getting without any expectation gaps!
The $200 deposit sucks. Besides that i loved the bar downstairs with great happy hour specials .
Undersold and misrepresented on first night, but we're quick to upgrade and uphold rep. Shoulda got it right first time. Not awfull though.
I have stayed here last year in one of condos on the opposite side of the road from the beach. The condo was very clean, but it was very difficult to find it at 9:00 p.m. when no one there to ask about direction. However, I have met the most helpful people when I checked out. I left my Ray Bans and my reusable water bottle there and the manager mailed them to me to the mainland! Her name is Lori Nakamura. She was very helpful. Also, there is the best poke bowl place in one of the buildings! No other place was able to offer better poke. I miss it very-very much!
Condo was cancelled due to Covid restrictions and Property Manager and Owners would not provide any type of refund. BEWARE. Horrible way to run a business, especially give the current travel restrictions and uncertainties given Covid!
