Reviews from visitors:
This was the second leg of our honeymoon and we had an excellent stay. It was exactly what we were looking for when trying to decide how to experience the Big Island. The location was perfect as it’s close to Kona, but far enough away that you feel secluded. The grounds are beautiful and utilized brilliantly to provide resources for the meals, coffee, etc. We stayed in one of the cottages, which provided some privacy, but the staff still came up to clean and offer help when needed. The entire staff was extremely attentive and had wonderful suggestions and recommendations about where to go. We have already started suggesting the Inn to friends and family planning on visiting the Big Island.
This is a beautiful, small inn on a coffee estate in the hills above Kona. The furnishings, the art (which is mostly Asian), the wooden floors in the spacious public areas are all exquisite. The grounds, including a sculpture garden, are lovely. There is a hot tub and pool overlooking the valley, and there are numerous inviting places to sit outside, all thoughtfully spaced out for social distancing.
It is my pleasure to stay in this wonderful place. Everything I found here was way beyond my expectation. Needless to say, the view is gorgeous and the room is elegant. The hospitality from the staff is pleasing. The breakfast is my empowerment of the day. I Will definitely come back if I ever came to the Big Island again.
If you're deciding between the Holualoa Inn and some other accommodation on the Kona coast - stop right now and book Holualoa Inn. We spent three nights at the inn and it was absolutely amazing. The staff were all so helpful and knowledgeable about the area - we got multiple food and beach recommendations from them that we loved. The views are breathtaking and the room was immaculate. Also make sure you attend their breakfast service every morning you are there; the food is so delicious and the coffee is also amazing (and locally grown, as is most food served during the breakfast)! Do yourself a favor and stay at this inn!
Holualoa Inn is such a wonderful place. I've stayed there 3 times over the past few years and consider it one of the nicest places on the Big Island that i've experienced so far. It's quiet, small, has an incredible view, and the design and architecture really make it feel like a unique find.
