This is a wonderful, mellow and quiet little oasis at the end of a narrow one lane road. With a pool and a hot tub. A wonderful kitchen and living room next to the pool. The hosts are interesting and sweet!
A true gem in the north Kona area, near the top of Hina Lani Road. Vacation rentals, reasonably priced, with a beautiful spa area, which includes a saltwater pool, Jacuzzi and infrared sauna. The grounds are well landscaped, with hundreds of fruit trees and extensive organic gardens, the views of the ocean and sunsets are spectacular, and the people are very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to their guest's needs.
We stayed here for 3 nights in Dragon's Nest (the private bedroom with bathroom ensuite).
It was very comfortable with a great view of the ocean and the sanctuary. They have a shared kitchen which is spotlessly clean and clearly labeled for easy access. All one has to do is clean, after use, which is true for Airbnb too. Rae, Benjamin and Maggie are very pleasant hosts. Before confirming our booking, they explained to us what a stay in Banyan Sanctuary means and if that is something we don't agree to, they would cancel the reservation free of charge - this is something both my husband and I really appreciated. A business with so much transparency is pretty rare to find :)
They have quiet hours from 9pm to 8 am but it wasn't really difficult to respect that. Kitchen is accessible at all times as long as you respect those hours. They also have a spa and pool - the spa is accessible until 12 am. Also, staying vegan while cooking/eating in the kitchen was a welcoming change from routine. I definitely recommend a stay here when you're in Kona
I led a women's retreat at Banyan Tree Sanctuary, and it was perfect. It's a peaceful space for relaxation and rejuvenation. I was surprised about all of the fruit from their farm available to make smoothies and snacks. I highly recommend it for a solo or group stay.
Beautiful location surrounded by fruit trees. Pool. Hot tub. Private lanai and kitchen. Friendly hosts. Would definitely return.
