There are no words to describe what a beautiful gem this place is. Spent over three months working remote from several of the islands of Hawai'i. No other hotel made an impression as much as, Courtyard King Kamehameha. On day one I received a warm welcome from the entire staff and it continued through out my entire stay. Devin from the front desk stood out amongst all the others. Devin went above and beyond to accommodate all my needs. He rapidly resolved and addressed any issues and concerns I had. Devin truly made me feel at home. I can't wait to stay at this hotel again, I am already planning a return ^_^
It’s a nice hotel, especially when get an extra off on the stay. One issue was that the air conditioning would automatically go to 74 degrees if you open the patio door. So you end up in a hot room if you forget to set the temperature again after opening the patio door. The room service is quick and respond really well. Hotel has a bay view. Good place to snorkel. Hot guests get free snorkeling gear for an hour.
We want to start by thanking Elizabeth and the front desk staff for being so courteous friendly and professional. They were the best welcoming faces we encountered on the Island.
The rooms were spacious and clean. The location is excellent! Near all the local restaurant, convenient store, shops and breweries. Everything is in a short walking distance or drive. What we loved the most is that the $22 resort fee actually goes towards snorkel gear discounted coffee and welcome drinks. Which is more than what you get with other resort fees. There’s a beautiful art gallery inside the resort it has wonderful Hawaiian history. Every evening tiki torches are lit up throughout the entire hotel. A small public beach is located right in front of the hotel with direct access.
Having the private cabanas is a very nice touch however we did find that they were not thoroughly turned over after every guest or in the evening. The pool is not as private as we would like it seems like anybody can just walk directly into the pool. Those are the only two downsides. Other than that we would definitely stay here again highly recommend.
We just finished a 4-night stay at this wonderful hotel! Our room was clean and had the most incredible balcony view of the ocean. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Even though we weren't able to attend one of their luaus, my husband and I enjoyed amazing spa treatments with massages oceanside and joined one of their morning yoga classes (also next to the ocean!). They have an interesting exhibit with paintings featuring Hawaiian historical events, their pool and hot tub are open, and they have comfy cabanas where you can relax. They also have a coffee shop, ABC Store, and other shops on-site, as well as a shop with rental equipment right at the beach. This location is full of history and is very walkable with a strip of restaurants and shops nearby. We highly recommend this hotel!
I didn't actually rent a room to stay here, but I did walk around the lobby and see the paintings honoring King Kamehameha, Herbert Kawainui Kāne - who did all of the exhibit paintings, and statues and preserved traditional items on display. The exhibit was gorgeous and definitely worth taking the time to go see! I only took a picture of a couple of paintings that stood out to me, but there were about 50 to look at, not including the ones on the walls of the building!
