We love this hotel,,! I have been there 4 times and can't wait til we ho again.
Room was clean except the floors were fithly, we ended up putting used towels on the floor to walk on. The location was good and worked for us, the price was good as well and all rooms had balconies. All the staff members were great. We'd consider staying again, but will definitely ask to see the room first.
Dave and Wendi welcomed us for 6 days and from day 1 their hospitality exceeded every expectation. We were greeted every morning with Wendi’s exquisite breakfast creations (see photos below)and relished everyone of them. The rooms were very comfortable and up to date. We had two rooms. Each room had its private entrance and sitting area. We wanted to experience all the beauty of Kona and Wendi very kindly guided us to each attraction whether it was the volcano, black and green sand beach or makalawena beach where thoughtful hints were given to us to make our journey more special. They provided us with beach chairs and a cooler for water. We even had a clicker to enter and exit their property. We lived the Aloha Spirit at Hindu Kai B &B . I highly recommend it.

My experience was a good one.. the internal bar/restaurant has a down time between 10am and 11am..
i went down around 10:15am and found there was no more breakfast... and lunch starts at 11..
oh well there are other close places near by like lava java.
pool is nice the bar staff is great.. so is the gift shop staff..
Rooms are nice. The building is older but well taken care of.
Seating area is great as well.
i would recommend the ocean view rooms.
There are no words to describe what a beautiful gem this place is. Spent over three months working remote from several of the islands of Hawai'i. No other hotel made an impression as much as, Courtyard King Kamehameha. On day one I received a warm welcome from the entire staff and it continued through out my entire stay. Devin from the front desk stood out amongst all the others. Devin went above and beyond to accommodate all my needs. He rapidly resolved and addressed any issues and concerns I had. Devin truly made me feel at home. I can't wait to stay at this hotel again, I am already planning a return ^_^
Breakfast: Agreement with a very good restaurant where we went twice for breakfast (included) and twice for dinner (paid extra). Room: Spacious, quiet, view to the ocean. Staff: Friendly. The hotel is a bit old but well maintained. Would definitely go back and strongly recommend!
We love staying at the Kona Islander. We have stayed in four different units over the years. Each is privately owned and therefore different but they've all been nicely decorated and clean. We love being able to walk to all our favorite Kona spots for dinner and music.
Pleasantly surprised on how wonderful our stay was. The bed could have been more comfortable, but all in all everything was great! Check in was easy, easy cleanup, the apartment was filled with everything that we needed! It was absolutely perfect. Can't wait for our next staycation there!
Just completed a wonderful 5 night stay at this B&B. The property is beautiful with large rooms and common areas. The best part was the in keeper, Nina. She went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Not only were her breakfasts outstanding, but she was also our personal concierge recommending many interesting things to do that we probably would have missed. I highly recommend staying at this location!
Miriam and Dave are wonderful hosts!!! Not only were the accommodations wonderful, but they spent a great deal of time with us making suggestions about what to see and where to go while on the island. They also shared some of their deliciously fresh macadamia nuts with us and showed us how to crack them. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for inviting and caring hosts that embody the Aloha spirit!
Lovely, spacious grounds set amongst preserved ruins. Units are large and clean, with nice furnishings. One problem we encountered was addressed quickly and efficiently. Had a very comfortable and restful week here.
Sweet spot! The room was fabulous! Big and spacious! We had a girls overnight and it was perfect! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Great balcony. Great living dining area! We so enjoyed our stay!
Nice place with an adult only "quiet" pool area as well as one for families with children. The top floor offers a fantastic view for sunsets. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Everyone here was very friendly and knowledgeable about the island. If you are a club Wyndham owner and want to know all the good food places to eat see Eliza. She is also knowledgeable about places to visit.
This was the second leg of our honeymoon and we had an excellent stay. It was exactly what we were looking for when trying to decide how to experience the Big Island. The location was perfect as it’s close to Kona, but far enough away that you feel secluded. The grounds are beautiful and utilized brilliantly to provide resources for the meals, coffee, etc. We stayed in one of the cottages, which provided some privacy, but the staff still came up to clean and offer help when needed. The entire staff was extremely attentive and had wonderful suggestions and recommendations about where to go. We have already started suggesting the Inn to friends and family planning on visiting the Big Island.
We (2 adults and one child) were here 4 times and planing to visit this B&B again in 2018. The plumeria suite has 2 great bedrooms and a spacious bathroom with shower. The parent bedroom and terrace has a beautiful view to the ocean. You can harvest fresh bananas, mangos and pineapples, if they are ripe. The hosts Tracy and Peter are the best we know. Very friendly at every time, good tips for activities and restaurants on the island and we had also lot of fun together. This B&B is perfect for families. It is also not so far to downtown of kona (5-10 Minutes)
Kona Bali Kaio is a condo complex with oceanfront and near-oceanfront units managed by a variety of people. The property itself is great, its location superb, resort's amenities totally adequate!
IMPORTANT NOTE: EACH UNIT IS INDIVIDUALLY OWNED AND MANAGED. There are 10-Star units and 1-Star units at this resort. Be sure to review the individual unit's photos and reviews and you will know exactly what you are getting without any expectation gaps!
My wife and I stayed at Megan’s place a couple of years ago and it was great! Looking forward to staying there again on another Kona trip!
Very nice staff. I went there 2 time without a reservation and they gave me a room without any surcharge.
The hostel was neat and clean and I loved it.
Would definitely recommend to others.
