Grifo Hotel Charme & Spa is simply a gem nestled away in the most beautiful of settings. My daughters and I loved our stay and we will definitely return again. Paola the manager was fantastic. When we arrived she greeted us with a cocktail and explained everything about what we should see and do on the island of Ischia. On Paola’s recommendation we went on a boat trip which was unforgettable. We pulled into every inlet and anchored and swam all day in between being spoiled with delicious Italian cuisine. Vito was in charge of the restaurant and ran it like clockwork. The head chef who recently joined Grifo came from a one Michelin Star kitchen and the staff were proud and excited to have him join the team. Needless to say the food superb. Chero made the best cocktails I have ever had which made the beautiful sunsets all the more special. The hotel was immaculate and either a perfect spot for families or equally perfect for a romantic getaway. The location could not be better with everything you need from beaches to restaurants to shopping only a couple of minutes away. This was made all the easier with the brand new hybrid shuttle bus offered by the hotel free of charge! In short, you could not find a better hotel on the island of Ischia.

Their suggestions and recommendations were perfect. And we had the best meals from the hotel restaurant at very reasonable prices. Truly recommend. Would love to stay there again"
What a truly special place. We spent six nights at the Grifo earlier in the summer, and wouldn't hesitate to come back again and again. We've also recommended it to our friends and family! The hotel is the perfect size - not too big - and a fantastic team of staff remember you by name. Ischia is blessed with beautiful weather for the most part, but even when we experienced one stormy day during our stay, we felt we could relax in the hotel all day without needing to leave, alternating between the swimming pool and the luxurious on-site spa. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, and we can't wait to come back.
"This is a charming family run hotel where nothing is too much trouble and staff so welcoming and friendly. We loved our room (105) which had a terrace that opened out onto a lawn with far views to the sea, it was particularly lovely in the morning sunshine and very peaceful. The spa is small which I liked and used it every day, the thermal pool was particularly pleasant and my husband enjoyed the sauna.
Breakfast every morning offered plenty of choice and different items daily, Antonio and his team had everything sorted. We had dinner a few evenings and it was good too, Antonio gave good advice on the wine list!
It is the staff that make the difference here, rooms are spotless, a minibus runs at regular times into town (and on request) which is great for days out and evening dinner by the harbour. Paola on the front desk arranged hire cars for us on two days, great way to see the island and gave us excellent tips for places to visit and restaurants. We were sad to leave! "
Wonderful hotel and staff
This really is a wonderful hotel. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully presented and the facilities and rooms are excellent. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful you will ever meet. They provide a very flexible shuttle service to the local towns and offer lots of good advice about local restaurants and sites to visit. The food in the restaurant is high quality, for both breakfast and evening meals. The hotel and its setting are every bit as beautiful as the pictures suggest. We look forward to visiting again.
