I wish I could report a positive stay or experience with this property. I and my spouse were booked for a stay in September. We live in the US (Americans and non-Italian nationals beware), the European Union is not allowing travel to Italy. We booked several hotels throughout Italy including refundable, and non-refundable properties. We were refunded all of our reservations, deposits, stays paid in full, etc., EXCEPT FOR THE RELAIS BOTANICA. We are all experiencing the effects of the global pandemic and have to work together, collaborate, sacrifice, and support each other as we navigate this difficult time. BEWARE! This will NOT be the experience, ethical business practice and humanity you will experience booking with the Relais Botanica. Our initial contacts were avoided—indicative of the poor customer service and the unethical business practices we would experience. When finally contacted, we were provided the legal ease of the Italian government as to why the Relais Botanica did not have to refund our money or extend a voucher past 4 months before any discussion about working with customers and extending understanding or support of how we are all dealing with the negative effects of the pandemic and which solutions we could work towards. Undoubtedly, we are all experiencing the effects of the global pandemic, but receiving a line about how we paid in full and there’s no other options per the legal ease demonstrated the value and ethics this property, management, and ownership prioritize over their customers, any sense of ethics and frankly I’m embarrassed for this property. Unfortunately, another example of this who take advantage of others and value opportunism during a very difficult time.

I can't speak highly enough about this resort! From the beautifully sculpted gardens to the exceptional staff our stay was magnificent. It was our honeymoon and the staff delivered 110% forall guests.. one example being during a lightning storm when the power briefly went out. Immediately the staff were out in golf buggies taking umbrellas, moving people and just checking on guests. There are others where I made last minute honeymoon requests that were all delivered on flawlessly. Oh and I'm certain that all those delicious tomatoes, pumpkins etc that they serve are all grown in the gardens themselves. It's just incredible.. I can't be emphatic enough about Garden Villas Resort! Thank you guys
