Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, rooms are OK and clean. Common áreas need improvement. Sofas are extremely filthy, can't understand how the management allows this.
Recently we booked a room at this hotel.
While the room was satisfactory, there were 2 days of cold showers that when complained about the first day we were told it was a fault with the water heater.
It happened again on the morning we checked out
The hotel phone was not working. I notified the desk on two occasions, both times to the english speaking clerk, about this problem and nothing was done. The day before we left, I was expecting some good friends to call around. While we were in for most of the day no-one turned up, we thought.
We were told later that, by these friends, that they had called, but were denied access and when asked to call the hotel staff informed them there was no answer.
We had travelled half way round the world to Ilhabella and we missed these friends because of the lack of response from the staff, to fix the problem of the phone, failing to check to see if we were in and the problem with the hot water.
The next morning when we were checking out early, I did complain the the non-english speaking clerk, about both problems, but all I got for the inconvenience and missed opportunity was blank looks.
Not recommended.
Very good place, food and beverages. The location is awesome. I missed additional power connectors
