I've been to plenty of hotels around the Houston area and the Marriott Marquis Houston is up there with one of the best ones I've been to.
The location is nice and has beautiful city views. It's also a plus that there are plenty of posh restaurants all within walking distance.
The rooms are nice, It's nothing over the top, but my room was clean and well maintained.
What I enjoyed the most was the pool area. it was extremely spacious, and comfortable I also really enjoyed the fact that there was a waiter that was constantly checking in on my party to make sure we had food and drink in hand.
I will be coming back to this hotel. I am a fan.
Arrived at 2 am and the staff were still cheerful and ready to greet as after long delays in travel. We came for my wife's Birthday and she was floored by the amenities throughout the whole hotel. The pool was an amazing sight to see and fun to float around. Just wasn't happy with the amount of kids in the Infinity pool after 6 or the amount of kids jumping into the hot tub.
All the restaurants were top notch a d reasonably priced for food and drink. The gym was first class and expansive.
I’ve been wanting to visit this hotel for a long time... I came from out of town to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriends. We only came for the pool and called before because we knew the weather would be a little chilly. They told us the pool would be heated to 80 degrees. We got in the pool and it was freezing. We went to the front desk and they told us they would heat it up. Went back after dinner and it was still cold. I’m giving one star only because I have to give a star. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. Terrible customer service. The “manager” Robert was so disrespectful and condescending I felt embarrassed for simply raising a concern. He said “the only thing we have to provide you is a room” and we could have stayed anywhere for that matter. I will never stay here again and our entire experience was ruined. Robert, if you or anyone in leadership ever read this, take a course in customer service and please rectify the way you handle concerns going forward. L.E.A.P. Listen. Empathize. Apologize. And Problem Solve. He kept saying I can’t comp your room when I never asked for my to be comped.
If anyone out there is searching for great deals for hotels check ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ booked a hotel on there and these guys had the absolute best prices just about anywhere!
The stay was perfect!!! The price was reasonable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was central to everything that we wanted to do. We even got to experience a movie night by the pool!! I will definitely be staying again in the future.
After being one of the most sought out Hotels in Downtown Houston, i was disappointed upon check in. Room was just average. Headboard had a massive amount of dust on it. Restroom was a dump. Vanity had old toothpaste on it. Wall had what appeared to be old blood spatter that was not cleaned right. Walk in shower had a noticeable amount of lady's hair. If this shower was cleaned half way the hair would not of been there....I would of addressed these issues but my wife told me to leave it alone. After charging 350+ a night, i was not expecting to walk into what felt like a used room. Unacceptable in my book.
