Nice older building on the outside. It maintains that antique feeling from the outside to the rooms inside. Not only do they greet you at the front door, you also have letter from manager in room. Also welcomed with champagne. The beds, sheets, pillows were all soft. Breakfast was amazing and the free complimentary in room snacks. Only one thing I could say needed a little attention was the bathroom wallpaper and ceramics the age is creeping and needs upgrade. Highly recommended will stay again.
First off, this was the BEST hotel experience we’ve ever had. From the front desk staff, to the valet staff, then the room service, plus bartenders.... you just can’t beat it. Russell is truly a gem and his hospitality will remain unmatched. The valet team works constantly and is extremely quick and efficient. This is the ONLY hotel to stay at in Houston in my opinion.
A wonderful valentines getaway hotel. Super acomodating and comfortable. I had a small issue at the end with the price not being out toward the bill as I was told would on the phone, but they fixed it and assured me and they did. So this is a fabulous hotel. The best!! ♥
Blown away by the level of service at this hotel, often I get to stay at great places for work but the Lancaster is by far the best. The staff was friendly and knew me and remembered things about my preferences which were really cool! The shower has amazing pressure the beds are super comfy and the place has a great in hotel restaurant
The hotel was wonderful. (We booked it for our during and after wedding) It is within walking distance to Jones Hall, the Downtown Aquarium and several restaurants. Breakfast is the highlight of each day. The staff was very helpful and when we left Tom Harwell, the General Manager, helped us get our bags to our car! We needed a bottle opener at 2:30 in the morning and the staff were more than prompt and polite. We will be staying here again. The only downside is the cost of parking. It is downtown so expect to pay for parking.
