Highly recommend. Always plenty of staff in the lobby and at the curb to assist with anything you need. Easy upgrade to executive suite. Quick communication thru the app. Excellent workout area. They even thanked me for using my points to stay. Restaurant was good. Tons of local restaurants within walking distance.
The only nit pick is the outlets in the rooms. Very few considering the size of the rooms and they were some kind of safety outlets that literally ejected my phone chargers if I tried to use them. Bring an adapter with a ground plug.
Shout out to the front desk at JW Marriott downtown - some of the finest and big-hearted people I have seen. I would recommend staying with this hotel just to engage with these lovely people. Also, the restaurant staff is extremely polite and talented. I tried the spinach pizza and it was food for soul. Kudos to the team for maintaining high standards for customer service. I can’t wait to visit Houston and stay at this location again ❤️ Keep up the great work folks!
I took my fiance to the one near the Galleria previously and thought this year for her birthday we would try this one out seeing it was in the midst of downtown, near where I was taking her to eat. I can honestly say, this hotel is amazing and you get what you pay for. Admittedly, if you come in a vehicle, please know that you will have to choose between valet and the parking garage around the corner. Not sure how much valet is, but we used the garage. Just be careful as there seems to be a lot of construction.
The inside of the hotel looks very clean and upscale. We didn't have to wait very long to be checked in. Service was very friendly and quick. They even upgraded our room when I let them know we were celebrating her birthday!
The room was very comforting, huge TV, lots of space, walk in shower, separate tub next to the sink, (sounds strange, but it worked out!)
Ipad in the room lets you peruse the hotel amenities and your reservation. I recommend touring around the hotel at least once, the bar area was very impressive. I would stay here again for sure. This one felt even better than the one in the Galleria area. Go there for a special occasion and let the staff know!
The management at this hotel care nothing for their guests and care nothing about any concerns you bring to their attention. My car was damaged in their valet and I spoke with GM Chris. He was extremely rude and dismissive of my issue and did not want to talk to me about it. This man’s patience is far too easily exhausted for someone that works with the public. Beware when you stay here because they will sacrifice their integrity to save a few dollars
I stayed here from September 3-5 and it was the absolute best experience. I plan to stay again next week actually. I was down in Houston from Boston looking for new home, it was my first time ever in Houston let alone Texas. The staff was so kind, attentive, welcoming and a great resource. I got to speak to several of them individually getting all the tips about where to live, frequent, eat and all of that. They were literally all so kind and actually so helpful, the advice offered actually helped me figure out where I decided to live. Every interaction we had was professional and courteous. The room was immaculate!!! I am a clean freak and I did not have a single complaint( and when I say clean freak know that I left a different hotel and checked in here because I couldn't handle what I called filth). Also it was super quiet which I loved, I was able to destress and forget the world, truly relax in the evenings. Check out and check in was seamless, they made the process super easy even with only one guy doing the valet early in the morning they were working super fast. All in all I recommend this place and I cant wait to stay here again. Thanks for making my experience so great, see ya'll soon :)
