If anyone is searching for great deals for hotels and resorts browse through ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ booked a resort on there and these guys had the absolute best prices just about anywhere!
The only 5 star hotel in Houston! Enough said.... the place was elegant from the moment you walk to the front door at the valet to the interaction you have with staff. You can order food from the other restaurants there and you’ll have it served to you. Great experience.
Fabulous spa!! Rooms, not so much. The hotel and the rooms are beautiful, but very, very small, especially for a Texas hotel. Rooms and suites are the same size!! Not cool when you are paying 5 star hotel prices. Also not real excited about the $40 per day valet fee. Again, just not a thing you expect in Texas. The stupid "smart" lights that only turn off or on means everyone has to go to sleep at the same time or sleep with lights on; those are your choices. Not so smart. The real issue is that because the suite was so small, they couldn't even put a door on the bathroom. REALLY? So on top of everything else, there's a complete lack of privacy. Overall, I'm glad we tried the Post Oak, but will not return. If I want to feel claustrophobic while I'm paying out the wazoo, I'll just go to NYC. Actually, I don't think I've ever paid this much and gotten less in NYC... Not my kind of Texas experience, to say the least.
I have to admitt.. I Stayed over Christmas since I couldn't be with my family for the second year in a row and needed some cheer. I had an incredible time, half thanks to the amazing room/amenities and half because of the friendly and welcoming staff. It felt like a dream coming to reality, It was the epitome of luxury and hospitality.
My dog was just as warmly welcomes as I was, which really meant the world to me. The spa was glorious, the food was delectable, and the views were unbeatable. I'll definitely be coming back!
Overall a very nice experience. A little slow in answering the phones and no fan in the bathroom. Concierge was very helpful and Henry Berry who drove us was outstanding. A great guy and a true asset to the hotel.
