First of all, The best encounter in this place is with Aerial Washington, the morning shift receptionist. She is very welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, and genuine. She is the best face for this hotel. The hotel itself is good, rooms are nice and clean, and the location is awesome. We were very satisfied in our stay there. Thank you to all the staff, and a special thanks to Aerial from my kids for advising us to go to the museum of natural science. :)
We checked into the Hyatt Place Downtown during this week when our awesome, always-available-to help Houstonians, needed help. We were literally “power-less“ with below- freezing temperatures combined with no power, heat and water in our house. My wife Kelly and I along with our dog felt very welcome here from the moment we checked in and throughout our stay. The front desk staff was excellent and exceptional across the board. A special thank you to Cody for his commitment to excellence in every aspect of service. First of all, he was tireless in the assistance he provided us and to others. He assisted and led by example in stocking the food area. He led and reported back with detail on mechanical issues related to temperature control in our room as well as those related to repairs that had to be performed on the hotel. He supplied blankets, pillows etc. No request was ever disregarded or minimized. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to have traveled extensively around the world but rarely have I seen such amazing servant leadership as I saw in Cody and the Hyatt Place Downtown Houston team.
Thanks for keeping us safe and thanks for making us happy we call Houston home.

Hotel staff was so accommodating. You could tell they are working hard for those of us with nowhere to go during this time. They thought of everything we could need. I am beyond words at the generosity of this team, as well as the great service they provide. Definitely recommend!
Really loved our stay!!! The staff are fantastic and the price is super competitive for the area. I love that it's a new hotel, everything just works like it's supposed to. Super fast internet.
I loved everything about my experience here. The beautiful decor, the comfortable rooms and the genuinely hospitable staff made my visit exceptional. Having worked in the hotel industry for much of my adult life, I was impressed to see such a high caliber hotel run so effeciently on the very first day of opening. I was actually their first guest and wound up extending my stay for 4 more nights. I just didn't want to leave because it felt so much like home. The front desk team was among the friendliest I've ever encountered. You will love it here!
