Reviews from visitors:
Governor Abbot lifted the mask mandate last week and raised capacity to 100%. This is not a political review based on my opinion of that.
They have plenty of safety measures in place that are perfectly fine. Also the hotel was almost vacant, very few guests. Social distancing is not an issue here.
Here is my issue. They are still operating with a very limited staff. No valet, no bell hop, no maid service, and limited concierge. The bell hop and valet isn’t a huge deal.
The biggest inconvenience was no maid service. We just left another hotel in Houston that had no problem having the maids come into clean as long as a guest was not in the room. In my opinion, it’s laziness. I hope we paid a lower rate for all the trade offs. Also I wish they pull have notified us if this while booking the room. We would have stayed somewhere else.
Also the limited concierge issue. We had to call down for towels, sheets or anything else. There would not usually be someone there to answer. I also had to call to remind them I ordered clean sheets.
Also without have a bellhop they really should at least offer to bring the cart up. They maybe a service the offer, but they didn’t answer their phones for us to find out. Or at least let us take the cart to the garage to easily load up the car and have someone fetch it, since they did nothing else during our stay.
The room I had was great. It was very clean and spacious. Also within 5 minutes from the Galleria mall. I used the gym in the morning overall it was cozy like a home I'd definitely stay here next time.
Stayed here on Christmas Eve the hotel was clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable and the WiFi connection was really good. There was no valet but the parking garage is attached so it wasn’t a big deal. Loved everything except the $8.00 oatmeal which was over soaked oats or something. Wish I arrived earlier that evening to enjoy the bar, but next time! I would most definitely stay here again.
Nice hotel... The exterior architecture is aesthetically very pleasing.. The rooms are comfortable but the decor is somewhat plain compared to similar hotels in their market. The staff, especially restaurant and bar staff, were very helpful and pleasant and seemed to care about going the extra mile. One put-off was a 2-paged list of what I can only characterize as covid rules that I was given at check in (I stayed 4 nights.) I understand the need to enforce social distancing, wearing masks, etc., but being handed a list felt like when you go to camp as a kid and are given a list of the camp rules, which is not something I expect from a luxury hotel. Their competitors enforce the same rules, but do so in a much more subtle and understated way.
Horrible Experience the manager was rude at the beginning then she was able to help me but then also did not inform me that the parking fee of $25 is charged for every single day that you stay!!! I did not get my deposit refunded also I have no idea how she took the payment for the deposit since she was not able to process it on the card reader and then did it manually on her computer. My stay was from march 17-march 19 it is the worst time that i have stayed there and this was the last time. Too bad it is a really pretty hotel smells awesome but they need to do something about customer service and front desk which i called both of them and couldnt get help so now i am going to my cards customer service to appeal
