The sparkling clean Vive Hotel offers a wonderful breakfast and is in Waikiki near the zoo. It's only a short distance to the beach, loads of shopping and restaurants.
My Husband and I stayed at the Vive for 5 days on our Honeymoon. We booked way, way in advance and got a good rate and no restore fees.
When we arrived we got a warm greeting with Pineapple Juice and cold towels. Our room wasn’t large but our days were all booked so we just needed a place to sleep and shower.
The breakfast was pretty good. There was an assortment of fruits like Pineapple, Cantaloupe, Honeydew, Papaya - some bread items and eggs. There was always coffee and fruit infused ice water in the lobby. There is no Pool and no Hot Tub. There are toiletries but don’t forget your toothpaste and razor.
Vive was within walking distance to the beach, there are a couple ABC Markets nearby as well as a couple restaurants. We also walked to the Honolulu Zoo from the hotel.
All of the staff were laid back, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will return in the future.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was good. Room comfortable. Breakfast was basic and of fair quality. Repeated hard boiled eggs with bacon one day manufactured omelette and sausage the next. Along with breads and fruit. One day when we returned to our room at 4:30 it had not been cleaned. Another day the smoke alarm started chirping at 7:00am. Shouldn't you have a schedule to change the batteries regularly? Overall a good value for Waikiki.
The Vive Hotel is a great place to stay near Waikiki Beach. It’s only about a 5 minute walk from the beach. They also let you rent beach chairs and towels for free. The breakfast was great as well, the coffee is phenomenal. Parking is also cheaper if you book through the hotel website. The only thing is the room is a bit small but it’s great for couples. Overall I’d recommend this place, the staff service is worth the price alone.
Great location and friendly service. Close to the beach and 2-3 minute walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Try to get a room that doesn't face the street on the lower levels as it's pretty noisy as it travels through the a/c unit. They helped me switch rooms after the first night which was easy. There's an awesome lounge with breakfast as well. Will come back one day and hopefully get the same amazing experience.
