Great place!
We stayed here in December/January and found this to be a great little place to stay. Pool on the roof was lovely and relatively quiet + beers and wine available up there!
Breakfast every morning in the restaurant was a tad busy but a good experience.
Location: Not the best location - as it’s a tad off the track and down a one-way lane. We heard other people had bags ripped off them in the area but we had no problems. Cool views from the roof.
Rooms: Clean, nice and had everything we needed.
Staff: Extremely helpful and kind.
Prices: Decent. $$
Recommend: Stay here if you want something a bit cheaper and are not scared to walk. Food in the restaurant was good but make sure you eat at the other places this city has to offer!!!
Would we stay here again: Yes.
First rate experience. Treat yourself. Big comfortable bed and a huge tub on the private balcony. The rooms were very nice and I felt like I was at home. Great staff! The entire hotel is very well done and striking. I felt like I was stepping into a museum.
Excellent location in Saigon - close to restaurants and shops. The historic City Hall and Notre Dame Cathedral are all close by. Great service and huge selection for breakfast. The corner room had fantastic views over the city especially during sunset and sunrise.
The Rex Hotel is an icon in HCMC. Centrally located and part of the history of the city. They have rooms surrounding a central garden coutyard. A Cigar Bar, and, arguably, the best buffet breakfast in town. A five star hotel with high service quality and rich history. Recommended by Hanoidave.
Lovely historic hotel with pleasant staff. Good breakfast selection. Four stars because substandard and expensive drinks in the rooftop bar. I had a long island iced tea which was obviously made with cheap alcohol. My wife had a ginger ale and was presented with a can of Schweppes ginger ale and a glass costing almost $10. Not what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel bar. Stay at the hotel but give the bar a miss.
Location: 2 minute walks to Bitexco towel and 10 mins walk to other famous sites. Yet the room is quiet and not affected by the crowded street.
Room: I love the color and English style. Very elegant and well set up.
Bed: super comfortable. Actually, I just wanna stay in bed all the day.
Pool: Not so big but enough to enjoy good swimming and the city view.
Staffs are professional.
Went for afternoon tea and it fully exceeded our expectations. The team members were fantastic, the savory treats were tasty and the sweets were excellent. Great ambiance, presentation, and overall a good value.
This hotel is close to almost every hot spots on Saigon. Very convenient to get around :). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and well-decorated. Nothing to complain here!
