Reviews from visitors:
A wonderful and exquisite renovation, truly beautiful building and rooms overlooking the city. The hotel lobby is a must see while visiting Helsinki!
Very good location, great sauna and they were very accommodating by letting us store luggage the night before our stay (we went to Estonia on the overnight ferry)
Nice and clean hotel. Very good service
Best hotel in hki no questions asked
A nice hotel with a perfect location right next to Helsinki Central Station, Forum and Kamppi shopping centers. There is a nice and recently (2020) modernized rooftop restaurant (called the 10th floor) and terrace, gym, free sauna and WiFi access. The soundproofed rooms include air conditioning, a minibar and modern and yet quite a retro décor. There's also Marks & Spencer and SOKOS department stores and in the same building and a spanish restaurant Casa Largo.
Hotel Vaakuna Helsinki was opened in 1947 and it was originally built for the 1952 Olympics. It's nowadays a heritage-listed building and represents the Nordic functionalistic architecture style and gives out some nice nostalgic vibes.
