Hotel has a great location (close to old town and Maschsee) so great for exploring the city. Our room was also clean and spacious, although on the fifth floor the roof was partially slanted (it would have been good to be warned of this as we are both fairly tall!). Bar area is pleasant enough, we didn’t have breakfast or dinner here.
Overall, it was ok value for the price but I certainly wouldn’t consider it a 4* hotel. There were several small disappointments such as no conditioner, shower cap or moisturiser in the bathroom, poor quality hair-dryer, empty mini-bar (literally just a fridge) and no bath robes. To me, this makes it a 3* at best.
We also had an issue with putting drinks on the room if you had paid in advance. They required a credit card to be registered to the room first. This was quite annoying and could have been flagged during check-in. Alternatively, they could just trust customers to pay upon check-out.
Stayed for a night in late December. The room was quite big, a bit cold and not very clean. The wc was positioned ridiciously next to the bathroom door that one needs to sit sideways to use it. The rooms i believe need renovation as they look aged. Did not meet much of the staff, the girl at the reception was friendly. I had a late night arrival, which was agreed with the hotel in advance. The guy who is on night duty was not at his post. I rang the bell, then he showed up in a few minutes. I checked in, got my room keys and then went back outside to my car to get my stuff. I came back and the guy had disappeared. This time i rang the bell like 15-20 mins and still no one answered. I had to force it with my bare hands to open the sliding doors to get in, as the the guy on duty never showed up again. The hotel offers parking for 18 euros or so, but you can park your car in the streets around the hotel; it's free and legal. There is late check-out at 3pm, which was really cool, so i could spend some time visiting the city before i'd continue my next destination.
Nice hotel, little bit old rooms, breakfast was very good. People are pleasant.

Staff was 5 stars, and quality of the room and everything was 5 stars as well. highly recommend.
Good hotel should stay here nice place near new City Hall.
