Great hotel with stunning views, spa a bit smallish - room service a must due to the view
The service however is superb. We stayed mutliple times at different room types, with children and without. We always felt welcome and the staff was able to accommodate for all requests.
Can only recommend!
Perfect location overlooking the harbor.
Clean rooms. Friendly reception people.
However, many imperfections for its level and price.
- The shower water cumulates on the floor, and no ferry was provided for going to the toilet which is on the other side of the lake.
- The room service people just look confused. They certainly are reluctant of saying any word.
- I asked for ice cubes, was promised ‘immediately’ but it never came.
- I don’t like drinking from soft plastic cups.
- The curtains. The electric control doesn’t work.
- The curtains. They fail to shade light from outside completely and I couldn’t have enough sleep after an exhausting journey here with the glorious, utterly punctual Deutsche Bahn.
- The air conditioner. The control is confusing and it could use some noise reduction in the night.
Etc, etc.
Overall it was ok. It’s just the room could use some love. Some care taken to improve the experience and some attention to the details.

DONT GO!!! in the corona time too this hotel we changed rooms 3times I didn’t sleep the first night so they replace the room for a suite as a solution but they kicked me out because of Covid-19 at the end of the night for no reason and I had to pay 740euro for nothing soooooo...... PLEASE LISTEN DONT GOOOO!!!!
Absolutely amazing and special experience. I used some of my suite nights to get upgraded to the horizon suite and it was absolutely stunning waking up with a view of the city and harbor daily. The view was just as stunning at night when the harbor is light up like a Xmas tree. Breakfast even during Corona times was full up and made to order.
Lastly the staff was all so amazing, friendly and helpful. They reminded me and further solidified why I always stay Marriott for work and play.
Shout out to Ms. Frink and the kitchen staff for being super helpful with our request for celery juice in the morning :)
