We just completed our stay here.
They randomly didn't have room service so your options were to eat at a restaurant or bring it back to your room, which would be MAYBE okay, but they wouldn't answer the phones. Went to the cafe and there was a line of people waiting for someone to show up to take orders or sit people.. which brings me to..
Location is SEVERELY understaffed. I feel bad for the front desk person as of checking out, she had 5 people in line to check out and 2 in line to check in. So I have no idea where management or her back up is.
Bathrooms have the typical super duper thin toilet paper and no blower fans which I found really odd.
Room had gnats that you had to fight with.. which might come down to the fact the room wasn't all that clean.. the furniture was dirty as well as the floor. The mirror in the bathroom was peeling. There were stains on the bed, speaking of the bed.. it was hard and very obviously a mattress past it's due to be replaced.
The Valet and Lobby Bar people were very kind, my only real complaint was how watered down a frozen margarita was, but it was given through a drink voucher, so it was fine.
All in all, save your money and stay at a Holiday Inn or something equivalent unless you ABSOLUTELY have to be right by the attractions.
The bed is super hard. My husband and I kept waking up through the night, arms and back hurting. My whole body hurts today.
When we opened the sleeper sofa, the lining on it wasn't clean. Had to request sheets, and bedding.
The pool is amazing, and the place is beautiful. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars.
Everything was great except having dinner at Cafe in the park inside the hotel. My family and I were trying to enjoy our dinner while both managers male and female were sitting across the restaurant being loud and obnoxious laughing really hard making jokes while we were still having dinner this went on our whole meal as if we didn’t matter to them. This was very unprofessional! We are paying customers that deserve a quiet dinner! This was so rude of them. In other hand Our waiter was very sweet. They should take notes. I don’t understand how they could be management with such poor customer service.
The rooms were clean! Little outdated but not bad!
I loved the view from my room. The customer service was AMAZING!
Before five, parking was a little tough, after around 6-ish(when the park closed), it was easy!
We had booked a room with a king bed and a sofa bed, in the reservation we listed we were a party of four. We arrived late at night and the sofa bed was not made but we were told housekeeping would come with sheets. When they arrived I was handed the sheets and told I had to make the bed myself, I was not to thrilled by that. It was 11:00 at night, I'm pregnant, I had my two small children, we were exhausted from traveling, and my husband was out parking the car.
The next morning when we went to take showers we discovered we only had two towels, again the reservation showed we were party of four so why the room wasn't ready for us I don't understand. Housekeeping will not clean your room during your stay due to the Corona virus which I understand but I feel they should make more of an effort to have the room ready for guests because of this.
After getting ready we headed to the front desk to get tickets for the pyramids. There was a queue line setup which we got in. All the employees were helping people except for two on the end that were huddled around one computer not making eye contact so I assumed they were dealing with something and waited patiently in the line. A guest skips the line and walks up to them and while they're helping with whatever that person needed people started lining up behind that guest and ignoring the setup queue line we were in. When the original guest walked away they took the person that was standing behind them and we asked why are we being ignored because we were waiting in the actual line. The employee told us they were the line for tickets which further ticked us off because there's no signage anywhere saying that there's a separate line for tickets and we were following the rules trying to purchase tickets. After they did nothing to assist us we left the line and decided to explore the city instead of giving them anymore of our money.
During one of our nights there my toddler had an accident so the next morning I asked for clean sheets and a new mattress protector for the sofa bed. When housekeeping arrived with the sheets I asked making sure that they gave me a mattress protector and I was assured they had. Surprise they hadn't so I had to call again trying to get one. The blanket they had given me the first night we were there had a hole in it and the sheets they gave me after my toddler had the accident and had purple stains on them I'm guessing from nail polish.
This hotel feels like it was once a grand resort that has fallen into disrepair. It is clean and has a nice little playground but the service is severely lacking for how much they charge and things are falling apart. The fan in our bathroom didn't work which caused the door stop to be extremely rusty and while the playground equipment was fine, the picnic tables around it were completely rusted and disgusting needing replacement. If the front desk employees provided better service we would have spent a lot more money hanging around the resort.
