Barbara and Dave are wonderful hosts. I stayed in the Elissa Room. Slept like a baby, had scrumptious breakfasts, and location is perfect. I hope to return with friends to rent out the house! Perfect stay.

The Best B&B here in Galveston, Texas. Only 5 blocks from the seawall. There is plenty of restaurants in walking distance. I'm always at ease and stress free when I come here.
Places like the “Lost Bayou” are the ultimate B&B experience. The hosts (Dave and Barbara) are friendly, easily engage in interesting and informational conversation; house is clean and has character (tastefully decorated with antiques); breakfast is delicious; a fridge with free bottled water, juice and sodas is available all day long; the front porch and garden are amazing; and the tips they give about places to go on the island are really priceless.
This is not the hotel/corporate experience. It is much more personal, warmer and better!
We stayed here for 3 nights, and it was wonderful. Barbara and Dave couldn't possibly have been nicer. Barbara cooked amazing breakfasts. The house was built in 1890. It was beautiful with exquisite furnishings. I highly recommend it. Book early because they have only 5 rooms.
