My husband and I stayed here for our mini moon! We had such a wonderful stay and loved the Seawall Suite. The owners are so inviting and so hospitable. Polly made the most amazing meals and Jeff was so accommodating. We’ve been to Galveston quite a few times and our stay here made this trip the most memorable and amazing! We will be coming back as often as we can for anniversaries and trips to Galveston. 10/10 the best b&b in the area!
By far the best place to stay in Galveston and the only place my wife and I will stay when visiting the area. Polly and Jeff are the absolute best and no matter what occasion brings you to the area, they will make your visit special. The rooms are fabulous and the breakfast is magnificent. Wife and I almost stayed another day just to enjoy Polly and Jeff's company and her wonderful cooking. If visiting Galveston, check out Avenue O, you will not be disappointed.
My wife and I spent the night here celebrating her birthday and Valentine’s Day. The home is amazing. Colorful, yet tastefully decorated, modern, yet still show its original charm. The proprietors Jeff and Polly are nothing short of fabulous! Very sweet couple who were attentive, thoughtful, friendly and fun. They made our stay perfect. Polly’s cooking skills are in point, proven by her awesome cupcakes in the afternoon and the wonderful breakfast she prepared for us in the morning. We highly recommend Avenue O BnB to anyone visiting the Galveston area. We will definitely be back ourselves.
We cannot recommend Avenue O B&B enough. We have stayed here multiple times and even decided to have our wedding at the B&B because it is that adorable. Polly and Jeff are amazing and made us feel at home our entire stay. From the amazing food, the always flowing coffee pot, to the modern updated rooms and bathrooms, it is truly an amazing value for the experience. Polly's cooking is nothing short of 5 stars. We even chose her cater the wedding. They both go above and beyond to make your stay perfect.
As far as the wedding: We are so lucky to have found this hidden gem for our intimate wedding. The outdoor area was perfect. Both Polly and Jeff were there all day to ensure things ran smoothly. They bussed and served the food during the reception. They helped with set up/cleanup, provided decor, and a tent for possible weather changes.
Nothing short of a 5 star experience all around.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Avenue O to celebrate our anniversary. Polly is an amazing cook and although I’m generally not a breakfast eater I certainly became one the two days we were there! Our suite was completely updated and spacious. We also enjoyed a tour of the yard which held fruit and pecan trees. Each afternoon we enjoyed homemade chocolate chip cookies made with the pecans grown on site. They also have bikes for use of the guests which was a treat to spend one afternoon touring Galveston and it’s history biking. Jeff could be a historian for the area and has many interesting stories and great suggestions of things to do while you stay there. You will not be disappointed if you treat yourself to being their guests!
