We stayed here for our honeymoon. The first outside was amazing and even the inside all except for the bathroom. The bathroom was tight and the shower was super small. The pool was hearted and we loved that you could get food and drinks without getting out. Customer service was great other than one girl that worked by the pool she said she would get us a menu and forgot all about us. The food and drinks were really good. I would definitely suggest the fish tacos and the mojito. The valet manager was awesome. What made the entire stay was the breathtaking view of the beach!
We purchased tickets weeks and advance for The Thanksgiving brunch. We were told to promptly alarm at 1 PM we would have no later than 2:30 to enjoy your dinner. So we were probably there at one we were seated around 1:20. This was no problem the first course was served and it was wonderful. The second course was served and it was wonderful as well. Eventually we received the main course which was a staple of Thanksgiving dinner minus cranberry sauce and rolls. We requested those items which we eventually received. Everything was very good. As we finish the main course we ordered coffee for dessert. We waited and waited, eventually our waiter emerged and told us that they had run out of dessert. I’m not sure how this could happen because tickets were sold in advance and they knew exactly how many guests they were expecting. This was very disappointing. Our waiter did tell us that they were trying to come up with something. Around 4 PM we were served for small slices or little mini pumpkin pies. This was not what we had on the menu for dessert it was much more elaborate than that. We were a small party of four. We have been looking forward to this for weeks. It was pretty good but definitely not an $85 per plate meal. We have enjoyed their buffet many times over the years. We usually spend every Thanksgiving and Christmas at either San Luis or Galvez. We chose San Luis this year because generally their food is much better. But needless to say it was very disappointing this time. I’m just not sure How you could run out of an entire course of a four course meal. Especially when tickets were sold in advance.
My experience was beyond fabulous from the moment I pulled into the valet. They were quick and competent and polite but not in a boring way, in a very Texan welcoming way.
Ms Kassidy at the desk upgraded me to a higher floor so I could have an ocean view and was so sweet and accommodating.
The room is simple yet luxurious. I've never been one for ornate embellishments and I love the calming clean lines and colors in the room. Next up, a body scrub at the spa and dinner at the steakhouse.
My family and I decided to stay on a Sunday night (Super bowl weekend). We wanted to take advantage of their heated pool. The heated pool did not disappoint! The pool was HOT, it felt amazing. The bar service was not that great. The lady came around to see if we needed drinks/food, maybe twice. If we wanted another drink we had to go to the bar to get it. It was not busy at all, so we were a little confused. There were probably 10 people in the pool area at this time. We were in the pool from check in to about 10:00pm. We ordered pizza at about 8pm at the bar, and we never received it! The lady who had taken my pizza order was honest and said she forgot about it. We ended up leaving to go get pizza because it was already getting late. Our overall stay was good, but it was a disappointment to know that if you accidently leave a valuable, you will not get it back even if they have a "lost and find" department. I called the next day after I realized I had left it. I know I left it because I have a photo wearing my necklace with my daughter that says, "mom" on it right before we were going to head down to the pool. I even remember where I left it in the hotel room and provided the location I left it to the lost and found lady in charge. But I was told no one turned it in. Of course they wont! It was a beautiful necklace. This necklace meant a lot to me, and it is a bummer, whether it be the cleaning service or the next guest that did not turn it in! However, they did not have guest in the room after our stay because they said no one had been occupying the room since we left! Its a nice clean, relaxing place to stay. If you choose to stay here, do not take valuables, and double check that you leave with everything you came with.
Beautiful hotel, the walk up to the hotel is very impressive. The staff was very accommodating. I needed to change rooms they did so willing and with not issues. The scent through the hotel is wonderful. Heated pools and hot tub is a definite plus. Maty at the bar was amazing. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks to the staff and beach front views I have a new vacation place.
