I love this place. My wife and I enjoy Linda and the cute pups. Linda is very welcoming to guests into her home. There is something very comforting about the smell and atmosphere of an old house. I would definitely recommend and we will be staying here again.
We had same experience as a reviewer a few months ago. We showed up to a house full of new puppies. Their "pen" was in the living room. Opening the door you are blasted with the smell of dog urine. So much so that we chose to leave. The place looked to be in disarray, not very clean and the smell was too overwhelming to stay. When we called to tell her we would find accommodations elsewhere, she commented that she thought she had been doing better. Someone else had told her that a few months ago. When asked for a partial refund-no even a full refund, she refused. We will not go back.
When we walked in the front door the smell of dog urine was overwhelming and the house was extremely cluttered and in disarray. Which was so disappointing, as we were return clients and totally taken back by the current conditions. We actually brought another couple with us, and were embarrassed by the state of the establishment. We opted not to stay at The Villa that evening as it was inhabitable. We informed the owner, Linda, that due to the atrocious stench we were going to forego our reservation and find other accommodations. Her response was surprising....she said another guest had expressed the same issue and she “thought she had done better.” Needless to say, we won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend the B snd B to anyone else.
My husband and I loved staying at the Villa! One of the best nights of sleep both of us have ever had. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Linda is an authentic, beautiful person. We would definitely recommend this B&B! :)
