My second time coming and by far the best place to stay in the Galveston. The hotel was super clean and everyone was so kind and welcoming. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are big. I highly recommend this Hotel. Great walking distance to everything on the Strand. I will be back. We had a wonderful weekend!
Beautiful old mansion with unique rooms. The manager Joellyn was very accommodating and friendly during our stay. We plan to come back again. Nothing beats the small business feel and personalization you get from a place like this.
The bed was very comfortable. The bath was nice as well (note only 1 or 2 rooms have a standing shower). Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Being able to walk through your bedroom window to the patio was great in the morning to watch the sunrise. Lots of cool original pieces of furniture, art, and architecture throughout (from the 1860-1890s).
Absolutely beautiful setup condominiums. Will definitely be booking and traveling here again.
Good hotel over all!! However, I found the rooms to be outdated and a bit small. None of their rooms have balconies which, is a let down when you are going to the ocean. Me and my daughter did arrive early for check in. The room was not ready but, they did allow us to use the facilities while waiting which I liked. I also valet my car while staying. There is some work to be done with the valet. Although they took my car and parked it etc. They never once helped to load or unload the car instead they just stood there and waited for us. Now, I valet alot and I know this is not how valet works and for $20 a day my expectation is that they should be helping us to load and unload. Bring us the cart for luggage not us having to find one. So, valet needs plenty of help!!! The pool experience was great!!!. Everyone was doing their very best to accommodate to each person's needs while, also keeping it clean and maintained.
We just did a little staycation from our home in Houston and we loved our stay here. For those of you not sure what you’re getting, it is a large house with code-access rooms. It’s basically like a mini apartment building. It’s a bedroom and a bathroom. Very well done, quality construction. Extremely clean room, bed was very comfortable and cozy. You can tell the owner of the building really cares to make it a good experience. Safe area, GREAT location to the strand (close but away from all the noise) and not far from the sea wall either. Great relaxing secure facility with very attentive staff. Away from crowds only guest staying in villas allowed in that area . With only 4 villas with nice heated pool in common area and each villa has its own hot tub and gazebo.large bar in common area . We arrived and only left the property to make the very short walk across the street to the beach. Each villa has it own private parking easy access if you do want to explore the island. And did i say very attentive professional nice staff. I will frequent myself.
Great place! The view is great and the house is super clean and well equipped!
This gorgeous mansion was our overall best choice for our spring break vacation. The staff really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent (quiche, biscuits & sausage gravy, fruit and yogurt cups, pastries) with complimentary drinks on the veranda in the evening. A real jewel of a place!
My wife and I stayed at the Ocean House while in town visiting relatives in July. We were not sure what to expect since this is a "hostel" with shared spaces. However, for the price we wanted to try it out due to its great location a block from the beach, pier, and restaurants. The house is quite grand with lots of rooms and a large kitchen. It looks like quite bit of work went into this house and we enjoyed meeting other guests and hanging out on the back patio during a rain storm!
The Lasker Inn is the most all-inclusive wedding venue we found. Other venues charged extra for flowers, cake, dinner, table decorations, and DJ. The venue is a beautiful Texas registered historic site perfectly decorated. The bridal suite had everything she needed to get ready. Richard is an amazing wedding planner; he has many years of experience. He knows what will go wrong (that damn dress bustle) and was prepared for it all. The staff was kind and professional. The chef was wonderful, he came out to explain his breakfast creations.
Richard took control during the wedding. He made sure everything was on schedule. He quieted babies during the ceremony, ushered us to sunset photos, and lined up the send-off event with sparklers. We didn’t have to worry about anything. I really can’t think of anything that could’ve been more perfect.

Perfect spot to stay in Galveston right across from the beach. A small pool is right off the patio that is shared between the 6 unit condos. Felt like we had it all to ourselves. The condo had absolutely everything we needed so I should have left a lot at home. Will definitely go back.
The rooms were clean! Little outdated but not bad!
I loved the view from my room. The customer service was AMAZING!
Before five, parking was a little tough, after around 6-ish(when the park closed), it was easy!
Good location on East end of Galveston... Very close to beach & fishing. Cozy & clean little efficiency apartment with all the basics. BED WAS SUPER COMFY!!!! The TV was very spotty, but we didn't need to watch much since all our time was spent outdoors. Some details could be improved but overall good place.
Absolutely loved my stay there! The staff was super professional and nice, and helped me check in very quickly even though I stopped by on the fly. The price was cheap when I stayed there. And when I opened the door I could not believe how neat the room is. Everything looks new very nicely designed. Very spacious room! This picture that I took looks almost like a professional photo (but the socks on the floor probably gave it away). Very happy with my stay
Oh and also they are pet friendly! I simply cannot believe this deal... ❤️

Beautiful house on the beach. Perfect views of the water. Clean, smoke free and kid friendly.
Love this place! We’ve been there several times and it has always been a lot of fun. It’s close enough to the beach for quick trips and nights on the canal are fantastic. You can see fish all night and toss a line out too! We will go again soon!
