Because of covid19 and with the go-to campaign... i got a chance to visit this wonderful hotel.
Rooms were so spacious. Everything was really nice. Not sure I can explain it all.
Bed was really comfy. There was a sofa in the room... Really convenient.
I wished they remain with that price ... But it would mean they have to close soon. So i wish they can have better customers who can pay for this beautiful and functional place. Even the staff was nice and helpful.
Stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were very spacious compared to other hotels in Japan, the beds were comfortable, it had all modern amenities and everything was very clean (the hotel was only opened in December 2019). I requested 2 extra pillows, and even though the lady working the front desk wasn't fluent in English she did her very best to communicate and eventually got me the pillows. The only suggestion I'd make is for the hotel to provide free coffee or tea to guests; we stayed at a partner hotel in Kyoto and they provided a variety of beverage options including matcha, would have been wonderful if the Quintessa in Fukuoka did the same. Otherwise, I had an excellent experience and would recommend this hotel.
Excellent choice of hotel in fukuoka. Very near from the train station probably 3 minutes of walking .
Newly opened in Dec 2019! room size is bigger than the usual Japanese standards. 3-5mins walk to train station, bus stops, Supermarket, McDonald’s, mos burger, coffee shop, .. etc
We had moved here from a quality western hotel at Hakata Station due to change of plans and were sorely disappointed given Quintessa was the same price. Quite suspicious of the positive reviews that all seem to be Japanese only.
Stayed 3 nights, room was never cleaned. After 2nd night we were told our room will certainly be cleaned, returned 8 hours later and it wasn't.
Location is inconvenient. Either a 10-15 min hike from Tenjin area, or 3 min from Yukuin station - but to get to Yukuin you must walk the same distance to change trains from Tenjin station. With luggage was a real pain. No free parking.
Lots of irritations with the room itself. Everything about the room was low quality. Even towels were fraying and the hotel only opened less than a month. Toilet bowel was oddly extra small sized, which I've never experienced and I'm an average Asian female. Blanket was this terribly heavy, slippery, and uncomfortable material. Room designs tacky.
The only redeeming factor were the boutique restaurants hidden away in nearby streets.
