I really enjoyed my time at Tonagi mostly because of the staff. Everyone who I encountered was super friendly and helpful. I would sit and talk for hours with Haruka. She's the sweetest! The place itself has a nice design. The beds in the dorm are built to give a little privacy and are pretty comfortable. It's outside of Fukuoka city center, but less than 5 walking minutes away from the subway. Even if you like to walk or bike, it's really easy to get to the city center from the hostel.

Friendly staff and comfy place. Well equipped and clean. The cafe area looks very cosy.
You have a metro station near by, you could also walk to the center but it’s a bit far maybe.
The only thing is going out from the reception/cafe to the dorm.
What a great hostel. Very friendly and accommodating. It's clean and with plenty of space. The kitchen is great and bunks have nice amenities.
The cafe is also really cool. They have a fantastic collection of books. Great place to hang out in
Facilities are pretty new. Things are very clean. They provide all the basics. The only down side for me, the way they designed their bunk beds makes it a bit tricky to get in and out of the lower bunk. Maybe they want to make the climb up the upper bunks easier, so the ladders are nice and wide and safe. Where the ladder takes up more than half of the entrance to the lower bunk. I am by no means big, being 5'2" and 110lbs. But it took some work getting in and out every time. Also, they don't have an elevator. If you travel with heavy luggage, please be aware that you may have to carry your luggage up 3 flights of stairs.
Nice guesthouse with a vibrant common area. Heating is just right. There's free tea and free books you can pickup (or drop some off here). The staff is helpful.
