Clean, neat and reasonable!
I went for my mother's birthday lunch. Staff are nice and was very considerate for small needs I had because I had 2 kids.

I really enjoyed my stay at Agora Hilltop Hotel a few months ago (I'm still thinking about it from time to time - hence the review!). I arrived a bit before check-in time, and they stored my luggage for me. I walked around a quiet nearby park for about an hour and half, while I waited.
The hotel is a bit isolated, but the buses near by took me everywhere I wanted to go. I chose to stay there to be near where my friends live (they have a ton of small children, so decided to stay at a hotel this time).
I stayed in a double room. It was quite spacious and had a lovely view. However, there were some stains on the carpet. I found the bed very comfortable and slept very well. I really, really loved the hotel-provided pajamas, and actually really regret not buying a set (can buy from the hotel gift shop).
I really, really enjoyed the breakfast buffet - there was great variety and the scenery was stunning. I also ate dinner one night in the hotel restaurant, and really enjoyed it. The staff made me a honey-ginger concoction after I mentioned my sore throat, and I felt like the service was great throughout my stay.
I also took advantage of the spa and enjoyed a massage. It was a great, relaxing stay, and I would love to stay again in my next visit to Fukuoka. The whole place has stunning views - even the parking lot. Despite it's location, I think it's totally worth it.

They are a really co-working place with cafe, bar and restaurant. And as far as I know companies are having business meetings in their place too. Also you can stay with them as they offer accommodation. They are a pretty new start up / business model - really nice vibes!

It’s a fully refurbished hotel ... the lounge and all is great. But the toilet in the room is really small and cramped. The drainage is slow as well for the tub so bathing is a dread. The sink drainage seems to be rusty as well. So the one star less is really for the bathroom.. otherwise the deco, the service and the furniture all great
5 The Millennials Fukuoka

I stayed at the Kyoto branch on my last visit so when I had the chance to visit Fukuoka, I booked this capsule hotel. The room is the same size. However, the Millennials Fukuoka does not have a key to lock the blinds.
Bummer that during my visit, one of the staff wasn’t very friendly with rude tone (the rest of the staff were great).
You have to find your way to your room. The staff did not point where the lifts and facilities are.
Also no paper cup for you to fill up water so you need to get your own water bottle for drinking as well.
The location was convenient and there’s something to eat nearby. Also two minutes walk to the most famous ichiran ramen shop (they opened 24hours).

New guest house, with stylish, clean and modern spacious rooms. Rooms lack table and chairs, but there is a great guest lounge, where you can relax and help yourself to free drinks. Highly recommended.

The hotel is new and chic. The layout of hotel room is logical. For the low price of hotel room, you won't regret it. Despite it's situated next to a graveyard, I got good night sleeps all the way. Thumbs up.

I visited the pre-opening of chopsticks and forks!
With salad and soup
Great deals on pasta 800 yen (tax included), demikatsu omelet rice 900 yen (tax included), fillet steak iron plate 1,200 yen (tax excluded).
All of them are voluminous and full.
The fillet steak also had a considerable amount of meat and was very tender and delicious.
The dinner menu was also a pretty nice lineup!
Next time, I would like to go to dinner!

The Hostel is good to spend view night's here. The atmosphere just felt a little bit cold. You'll get a band as a sign if you want to talk to other people or not. Not very necessary. Otherwise the bed's are comfy.

First of all, the hall with the front is a masterpiece! I liked the display on the bookshelf too much and got excited! I was able to stay in one room for about 10,000 yen with breakfast on weekdays, so the cost performance was quite good. Breakfast is like room service, and you can have your lunch delivered to your room. Of course, by specifying the time! You can choose a lunch box of bread and rice balls, and the amount is quite generous. There was Wi-Fi and there was a coffee machine in the room. The TV was big and it was easy to work.

We had a nice stay here. Clean room, friendly staff, tasty coffee and Japanese style breakfast(very healthy choice). Liked most of service they offered, just their wifi was a bit slow( 6-9mpbs(up)/ 80mpbs(down)) to work with and bathroom was quite tiny. Overall it was worth the money.
12 TONAGI Hostel & Cafe (cafe & guest house)

I really enjoyed my time at Tonagi mostly because of the staff. Everyone who I encountered was super friendly and helpful. I would sit and talk for hours with Haruka. She's the sweetest! The place itself has a nice design. The beds in the dorm are built to give a little privacy and are pretty comfortable. It's outside of Fukuoka city center, but less than 5 walking minutes away from the subway. Even if you like to walk or bike, it's really easy to get to the city center from the hostel.

Great vibe! Healthy, organic and delicious breakfast! You’ll definitely be satisfied mentally and physically. Also, before breakfast, I went jogging with the owner of this hostel. He showed me around the neighborhood! Perfect stay!!!

A very new and nice hotel. Accommodation space is more than expected. And, the tea set that was still served upon our arrival at 9pm was really a surprise. The washroom is separated the washing area and the toilet, a very good design. We had a nice sleep and good rest here. Next time, if the price is in same valuable price, I would definitely reserve again. Our room also has a river view. It is a bonus of our trip.

This was a really nice hotel, it was really easy to check in. They had English support, and an English-speaking staff member there when I arrived. There were all kinds of amenities that you'd expect at a very nice business hotel. Checkout was absolutely simple, you just dropped the key into the box by the door. You can come in after hours, there's a code that they give you so that you don't have to check in at the front desk. And even Uber Eats is allowed to buzz in and deliver food to you! I didn't do it, but I witnessed someone else order it, so I might do it next time! Super clean, fresh towels, just a very nice business style hotel. I happened to find a good booking online and got a really decent price too; go around on different websites!

One the the best hotel I ever stayed at for the price cant beat it. Loved fukuoka and staying at Webase hotel. Made the experience and our stay so much nicer. Very hospitable, quiet and comfortable. Also beautiful art piece in and outside of the building very cool.

This is a great place. Has more of a private feel than other hostels. Very quiet. Nice staff. They were also nice enough to let me keep my bicycle indoors. Price is very reasonable. Would not recommend arriving before check in at 4pm as staff are busy and not able to be at the reception desk .

Really nice place to stay - very comfy and clean. The staff are really helpful and friendly as well. Only thing it's missing is a full kitchen, it only had a kitchenette (fridge, cups, microwave).

I stayed for 2 weeks and it was very comfortable. The interior is minimal and simple. Also, since I can use a drum-type washing machine, I was grateful that there was no cleaning fee.
I do my best to keep this list as up-to-date as possible. I last updated it in September 2024. If you know of a hipster hotel that should be on the list, let me know. Click here to contact me. Thanks!
