1 InterContinental Edinburgh the George
images
Like most buildings in this area of Edinburgh—it is old, it comes with its inherent charm and issues. The lobby is small, and the entry to the elivators is not very welcoming. The restaurant and bar areas are also a bit confusing to navigate, but they are spacious and fantastic! The location couldn't have been better.
Rooms could have been a bit more specious. No complain about the bathroom.
2 Le Monde Hotel

Lovely venue, perfect location and the staff are amazing given the challenging times we are in
3 hub by Premier Inn Edinburgh City Centre (Rose Street) hotel

Amazing, after a week of travel in Ireland and a 5am flight this was the best hotel ever. It was slow to check in but they stored our luggage so we could go explore the town. Easy to find, great location, clean, comfy bed. If you want views this might not be what you want (I did have a view of the castle through a tiny window but my mom didnt have a window in her room) but if you want a clean and super safe place to rest this is it. Their breakfast was just enough to get us started for the day. Will 100% stay here again when I return. The tiny room was just fine for me.
4 Frederick House Hotel

Its comfortable and very central is very useful. Could hear through the walls a little during the night
5 ibis Styles Edinburgh St Andrew Square

Stayed for a bonus break and have only good things to say about the hotel, the restaurant and the staff.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Room was perfect; large, comfortable, great shower, amazing toiletries, really comfortable bed and really nicely decorated. :)
The views from the balcony fabulous. The food, the drinks were all good
Staff were relaxed, knowledgeable Always nice when someone makes the time to have a little chat and shares a bit about themselves. Makes the visit feel more personal.
Thank you to everyone. Would love to return.
6 The Edinburgh Townhouse

Super cute Victorian decorated room, with an awesome location in the heart of New Town and the ton of cool restaurants, bars, and shopping. Walking distance to all tourist areas of Edinburgh. We had a nice view from a high floor. Self-check in was easy and straightforward. The only criticism is no shampoo, conditioner, or body soap and only 2 small towels were included.
7 Cheval The Edinburgh Grand

images
The Cheval Edinburgh Grand is right up there in my holiday experiences. We came away for an impromptu school holiday getaway complete with both kids and the dog.
The kids had a room to themselves with and the rooms we had came with en-suites so that once the kids were in bed, the grownups could enjoy a bottle of wine and a quite conversation without fear of waking the kids.
The hotel bang in the centre of town situated at St Andrews Square. It is dog friendly and there was even a dog bed and bowls waiting for us in our room. The rooms are absolutely fantastic, well designed , well appointed and stocked with pretty much everything you might want.
The service is second to none. Ben Currie deserves a special mention as does Tiziana for making our stay extra special.
9 Hotel Indigo Edinburgh - Princes Street

images
Great place in an amazing town! Parking is limited but we parked at the train station which is across the road for a reasonable price. Staff were lovely and friendly, all meals were fabulous! Could not recommend enough!
10 Eden Locke, George Street

images
The rooms really have everything you need, the interior design is beautiful and the location is excellent. Only minus is that there seems to be no radiators in the room and it can get a bit chilly during the winter season. But apart from that I would highly recommend this hotel.
11 Motel One Edinburgh Princes

images
Perfect location in the old town, easy to be reached by tram or bus directly from the airport, near the shopping area, good service and cosy bar.
12 Motel One

images
Amazing staff that couldn't do enough for you! Friendly too! They went above and beyond to help me with my daughter's wedding, where we both stayed. I really think this hotel should be treated a lot higher. The rooms were exceptionally cleaned and the views were lovely. I also stopped in a local top hotel but ironically preferred Motel One! Thank you all for a wonderful stay and for all your help!
13 The Balmoral

images
A beautiful hotel located in the heart of the city. EVERYTHING is within walking distance. Princess Street to The Royal Mile, The Witchery by the Castle (restaurant), bars, bars and more bars! The perfect "home base" to explore and the concierge desk will help make arrangements for just about anything. Go, enjoy, explore then relax!
14 Fraser Suites Edinburgh

images
Fabulous stay at frazer suites, beds were amazing, clean and comfortable suite. Excellent location right next to the royal mile. The staff ,especially Marianna, went out of her way to accommodate us. Will definitely come back. Reasonable prices also. We had dinner in hotel restaurant, nice quality and good service.
15 Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel

images
One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. Beautiful, bug rooms with extremely comfortable beds. Thoughtful extras in the cupboard like an umbrella and a yoga mat! Plus free snacks and drinks! The breakfast is fresh, delicious and abundant. Served in the lovely atrium. I had a massage in the spa which was also fantastic. And the attached restaurant is wonderful. Can't wait to get back.
16 The Witchery by the Castle

images
We had a wonderful romantic lunch at The Witchery before leaving Edinburgh. It’s a very intimate space with dark lighting even in the day. The staff were super attentive and the food was amazing. We’d definitely go for a nice dinner next time we’re in the city. Dress was casual during the day but we felt a little underdressed in just a button down and jeans all the same. The space is fancy and you’ll want to be too.
17 Cheval Old Town Chambers

Friendly service great staff, excellent rooms and a great location.
18 Market Street hotel

The good points
Hotel is very central to the old town, only a five minute walk from Waverley Station. The hotel is very clean and modern and they have good covid precautions. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was large and we had a great shower and lovely bath, overall we were happy with our room.
The not so good points
The Scottish breakfast is not really what I expected, the sausages were full of herbs and the tomatoes were covered in garlic and herbs, it was more like an Italian version of a Scottish breakfast, ok but not for me. The wait for breakfast was long, usually 30-40 minutes (this was with only about 10 people in the area seated for breakfast so it was not what you would call busy) , even on the third day when I asked for 2 poached eggs with a slice of bread, it just took ages. They had no yogurt and the fruit bowl I got consisted of apple, a few grapes and a very black banana. They also had no fresh orange.
I felt as if there were very few staff in the hotel, this may have been due to Covid/furlough etc. but I just felt as if there was something lacking. The hotel is lovely with great views from the bar and I cannot fault the staff, I just think that someone needs to be more responsible for making sure you do not run out of the basics on the menu, fresh orange and yogurt are pretty much a standard thing on the breakfast menu, if you are going to advertise it, then make sure you have it - we sat down to breakfast at 9am every morning and it was quiet, so I have no idea how they ran out of items and took so long to make breakfast. All in all, a good hotel if you want to be central to things, a few minor tweaks and it could be really good
19 Radisson Collection Hotel, Royal Mile Edinburgh

images
Won of the best places I've stayed in. Rooms are one of a kind. And the price is very good. I would come here again... a 5 star for me
20 Hotel Indigo Edinburgh

images
My first time at this hotel and like all the other Indigos I've stayed in it doesn't disappoint, very clean and friendly staff. Very nice bright colourful room with an excellent bathroom. Some nice freebies in the fridge and even have my own private fake garden smoking area. Will definitely be staying again
