The Cheval Edinburgh Grand is right up there in my holiday experiences. We came away for an impromptu school holiday getaway complete with both kids and the dog.
The kids had a room to themselves with and the rooms we had came with en-suites so that once the kids were in bed, the grownups could enjoy a bottle of wine and a quite conversation without fear of waking the kids.
The hotel bang in the centre of town situated at St Andrews Square. It is dog friendly and there was even a dog bed and bowls waiting for us in our room. The rooms are absolutely fantastic, well designed , well appointed and stocked with pretty much everything you might want.
The service is second to none. Ben Currie deserves a special mention as does Tiziana for making our stay extra special.
When our original venue had to cancel our wedding in March due to Covid, staff at the Edinburgh Grand were so kind and understanding and did everything they could for us to hold a small wedding with 5 guests this August. We really felt looked after and we had the most amazing 2 nights stay at the Penthouse apartment. Whilst we were unable to have all our friends and loved ones with us, the service of the staff and the penthouse apartment itself allowed us to have a very special wedding ceremony which was quite simply stunning. An unforgettable venue and with staff that are an asset to the hotel. We will definitely be coming back for an anniversary or two and are recommending this hotel to our wedding guests for when we hold our big party (hopefully) next year. It is also a stone's throw from Waverley station, and was an excellent city centre location.
Room was fantastic and spacious. The staff were really friendly. Ben was very helpful on reception. Will definitely stay again at some point.
Absolutely stunning hotel in the heart of Edinburgh City centre. Beautifully decorated. The decor is an instagramers delight. The staff are wonderful and couldn't be anymore helpful to ensure our stay was perfect. I will definetly return. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Beyond boutique! The rooms here are spotless and designed to perfection. Check-in staff were friendly and efficient, which was further demonstrated at an unplanned fire drill where they calmly dealt with the situation. Would not hesitate to recommend.
