Affordable bolt hole close to the centre of Edinburgh. Pre Covid 19, breakfast was marvellous. Now serving cold/wrapped items to room, a practical solution to the pandemic.
The hotel is beautiful, the rooms confortable and the host welcoming. There's a lovely living room with an old piano that sounds amazing.
Although a warm welcome , clean room , and pleasant stay the only down side was mouse dropping stuck to a towel
My girlfriend and I stayed here in October of 2019. This place was so cool. Very elegantly decorated. Exactly what I would expect. The breakfast was brilliant every morning. It fueled us for our all-day walks through Edinburgh. Excellent location to be able to walk the city. Top Class!
we had lovely stay there (3nights). Warm and quite rooms, very tidy. What might help would be better coffee (was too soure/acidic) and maybe music/radio during breakfast; the quite was a little embarrassing:(. The hotel does not have a bar.
