Reviews from visitors:
Stayed for a bonus break and have only good things to say about the hotel, the restaurant and the staff.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Room was perfect; large, comfortable, great shower, amazing toiletries, really comfortable bed and really nicely decorated. :)
The views from the balcony fabulous. The food, the drinks were all good
Staff were relaxed, knowledgeable Always nice when someone makes the time to have a little chat and shares a bit about themselves. Makes the visit feel more personal.
Thank you to everyone. Would love to return.
The hotel is in a great location, close to restaurants, coffee shops and everything else you could need or want. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle. We opted for a standard room as we were only staying for 2 nights and weren’t looking for luxury. The rooms was facing the square which was nice and was very clean with a good sized en suite, tv, coffee/tea making facilities and desk. The room was very small particularly around the side of the bed next to the window and desk but it was generally fine for us.
Staff were really pleasant and helpful and all wore masks due to COVID and explained their procedures.
We got a discount for parking at the Q park which is a 10-15 min walk which was a good benefit as parking is extremely limited around the city centre and any on street parking is expensive. NOTE - you have to take a parking ticket when entering the Q park to qualify for the discount for some bizarre reason. I used contactless and then realised when the hotel explained how to get the discount that I couldn’t do it as I didn’t have a ticket so I had to call Q park who to be fair understood and helped me. But it does say in their T&Cs that the discount won’t apply to contactless transactions.
Breakfast was a basic continental selection of savoury and sweet options.
Overall it was a comfortable and pleasant stay for a good price and would happily stay again.
Great location . The decor is bright & modern , rooms clean & excellent continental breakfast. Good price too. Very good rooms for short stays ( no storage ) Staff were friendly.
Nice hotel, great location in the city centre. Clean rooms with a fun Scottish theme.
Good continental breakfast.
Was sorry to cut my stay short as I had to try and escape from the UK back to NL, closed borders at the time.
Clean room with very nice toiletry products. Air con and heating. Good breakfast included in price of room with sensible corona virus policy. All staff were really friendly and happy to help.
Very dog friendly.
Location was perfect for exploring the city, shopping and night life.
