The service and staff were second to none. So attentive!
We stayed in a superior double and it was smaller than other rooms we’ve stayed in elsewhere but it didn’t detract. It just had a lovely comfortable, homely feel. Lots of natural light from the big windows. There were no pink soft furnishings on the bed when we arrived (they are in the photos on the site) and it looks so much better without; I thought the pink made it look a little cheap in the pictures.
The bed and pillows are ridiculously comfortable. Those pillows.. I’ve already looked online to see if I can buy my own. They were like clouds!!
Breakfast was great. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and my only niggle about the stay was the evening meal. Unfortunately mine was bland and very beige but my husband enjoyed his.
All in all, a great stay. We’d definitely stay again. Edinburgh is such a warm and welcoming city and the Angels Share is no different. Thank you for a lovely stay .
We reserved a table. After two hours spent in this restaurant eating and drinking the waiter brought us a bill we didn’t asked for, as we were going to order more drinks and food. He told us that our time here was over and the table was needed for someone else.That was quite rude. In response we demonstrated the confirmation e-mail in which there was no information about time limits. Moreover, no one told us about these time limits when we came to the restaurant as well. But for the stuff it was nothing and they did there best to kick us out as soon as possible. The attitude to us was very indifferent even when I promised to write a complaint. Never visit this place again.
Only went to the bar, very friendly staff. Only table service because of COVID but staff gave suggestions for drinks and were very attentive and friendly. Would definitely go again!
Superb Hotel (££ stay was good), location just 0.3miles from Edinburgh Castle, and the historic part of the city. Park at 0.3mile close NCP Castle Terrace (online booking for £10 (1800 to 1800 24h - what I was charged).
