Reviews from visitors:
This was a great hotel to work at. Claire is a great asset to the hotel and deserves praise for her great work during this difficult year especially working throughout furlough on her own. She has made me grow into a confident receptionist in the last 5 years and I am really grateful for that. If it wasn't for Claire this hotel would be at the bottom of the ocean. I will miss all the regulars that come and stay with us or even coming to visit the hotel for tea/coffee etc. The managers '7 Hospitality' are grossly incompetent and need to seriously reevaluate their professional practices. The treatmeant that the staff has endured borders on illegal and is miles past the boundary of being immoral. If i could give Claire Oakes Front Office Manager a 5 star review I would but unfortunately the 7 Hospitality has let that down for everyone! They quite frankly do not care about the staff in the hotel or generating any business. Reduced menu between 2pm -7.45pm and still not offering afternoon tea and no draught beer and not up to date with there stock. It was 5 star for me for many years but im afraid I will give the hotel a 1 star. Thanks
Good place to stay in comfort on the south side of Edinburgh. Easily reached from by-pass & with ample parking. Views over Edinburgh & public transport into centre. Golf & walk opportunities near by.
I have stayed at this hotel for 6 weeks.now through work food rooms and staff are all so good could.not falt them.would.highly recommend it to you please try it thanks for.a lovely stay
Comfortable stylish room, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful
This hotel looks spectacular from the outside and gives a very good first impression. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bar area is modern and comfortable. Restaurant is also modern with good food. Both are a little pricey. However, behind the foyer the hotel is dated and a maze with no lifts to the upper floors. The basic double rooms are tiny and in need of update. The hotel room had a musty old smell. The bathroom was incredibly small. There was no view from our room. We complained and eventually was given a much larger room but we had to pay for this otherwise staying here was not an option. The room lacked character. Parking is limited. Buses are available outside the hotel directly into Edinburgh. Would not recommend this hotel
