A warm and personal welcome from the owner. A comforting acknowledgement od being expected. Offered a room on the ground floor when daunted at the prospect of a single flight of stairs; realising my original room was the better room. Greeted as a valued client at dinner by both management and staff. Not what you get in the bigger hotels unless you're well-known or monied. Cannot speak highly enough of the place.
Absolutely lovely wee place tucked away behind a wonderful pub (The Canny Man). Service and rooms superb, owners nicest bunch you could hope to meet. Nothing too much trouble. Highly recommended!
Couldn’t recommend more this place. Cosy, clean,quiet, and beautifully decorated rooms, with all the amenities you can expect without having to ask a single thing. The staff is so nice you fell like you are being welcomed to their own house. And when you think there is nothing more to say, they surprise you with a snack room, and the “Canny man” their pub where you can enjoy a full range of drinks with the most wonderful bartenders. Hope to be back soon!
Had the most incredible stay at the lane this weekend for my birthday! Our room was absolutely stunning and humongous! My partner and I didn't want to leave!! Both the bath and shower were so relaxing and such a welcome sight after a wet day exploring the city. The room was absolutely spotless and the bed was very comfortable! The staff were so friendly and it felt like enough couldn't be done for us! The bus routes were very handy and there was some lovely cafes very near by and a short walk to shops and other restaurants. Absolutely cannot wait to return, thank you so much Mark and Team!
