Hotel was very clean and a good location for visiting Edinburgh. Staff were very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much bother. Afternoon tea was delicious and gluten free was well catered for. I would highly recommend this hotel

My partner booked this hotel for one night and thank god it was only for one night!!
For a start the parking information needs updating! The lady on reception gave me all the information we needed for parking and she spoke so fast I didn’t catch barely any of it. However, I didn’t worry, as she said it was all wrote down with the electronic key needed for the gate! Well, she was wrong, it really wasn’t all on there! I did point out to her that it needed updating but she seemed to brush it off!
The room!
We booked a ‘small double’. And my god yes it was small indeed. The linen was ripped and stained with that looked like foundation! Also one of the towels, which lickily we put on the floor in front of the shower. The divan bed was fastened together with a big metal clasp which I scratched my leg on numerous times. The shower was so small that a larger person would have trouble getting in and out.
The noise from the street was constant!
The breakfast due to COVID was brought to your room in a lovely basket, but, My partner asked for cereal and got no bowl. I asked for toast and a croissant and got one little butter. I also asked for tea but that didn’t arrive at all.
Had we stayed more than one night we would have complained but with it being one night we made do! But we will not be is it again or recommend their place.
We enjoyed the stay here, wasn't too expensive, ask about parking before you arrive and you will have to pay for it, there wasnt any left so was a 5 min walk to the car park, but other than that couldn't fault the place, breakfast is currently limited and in your room but I actually liked this, honesty bar on an evening although cameras are there, lovely stay
