We stayed 2 weeks at the Valamar President Hotel in Dubrovnik. When we arrived the very friendly receptionist Ana welcomed us with the surprise of a room upgrade. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the view from the room is stunning, especially during sundown! I would recommend to book half board since the buffets in the morning, as well as dinner time are extensive and provide a huge variety of local and international good quality food.
In general, the personnel throughout the entire hotel is very welcoming and attentive.
I highly recommend staying at this hotel short- and even long-term.
We loved our stay this year, having stayed at the Lacroma resort last year we knew we would have a good time.
The food at breakfast and dinner was amazing and our food and service at the Miramere restaurant was exceptional the one evening we dined there. Our server, Vladimir, was the best server we've ever had!
The hotel was clean and tidy and there was more than enough hand sanitiser located around the hotel.
This holiday meant a lot to us as we got engaged on our second night! My fiance proposed on our stunning balcony at sunset. The bar staff in the lounge went above and beyond to help provide some celebratory champagne for us and we felt on cloud nine for the rest of our stay.
We will certainly return and will always stay at Valamar on any future stays in Dubrovnik.

Super!!! Love Croatia!!! We came here because it was the only country we didn’t have to have a pcr test or to quarantine as EU citizens. We knew a little about it: “Game of thrones” filming locations, medieval cities, Adriatic Sea but it’s so much more in person! We did a road trip, started in Zagreb then Plitvice, Zadar, Split, Omis, Dubrovnik, all beautiful locations, each with something specific to offer! Nice, easygoing people everywhere, literally everybody speaks English, clean toilets everywhere, no exception(that was impressing), roads are perfect... prices are decent. The weather was gorgeous for the entire time we were there; the Dalmatian coast is sunny 90% of the time and the light is beautiful, it felt a bit like California. All places we stayed at were great, Valamar President was the best, but I have to mention the hotel Cool near Zagreb airport where people are super friendly and the food is unbelievable(they have a small restaurant there where a young chef works), the best food of the entire trip. There’s a lot more to say, but overall was a fulfilling trip, if you have the opportunity don’t hesitate to go!!!
My boyfriend and I stayed for the week and I must say I felt incredibly sad to leave.
Our room was absolutely amazing, a huge bed and bath, a lovely rainforest shower. Our balcony had a stunning and unspoilt view. The view from the entire hotel was incredible and I felt like the view just kept getting better. Especially sunset! Amazing.
We booked half board, which was a buffet style: Everyone seems to be saying the buffet wasn’t good on their reviews but we had some beautiful food from there.. the steak, swordfish and chocolate roll cake were my favourites. The staff, especially the lady that checked us in and the restaurant manager Ivan.. amazing, so friendly. As well as the boys on the beach front operating the water sports..
We didn’t originally plan on spending much time in the hotel as we wanted to get out and explore but we ended up spending about half of our holiday within the hotel and the private beach area.
It’s just far enough away from the busy town centre, it has perfect views, there is a bus that goes to town every 15 minutes.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great holiday. Hotel location and views are great. Room was very comfortable. Pool and beach were great.
Food was a bit disappointing - quality (very greasy) and not much variety; Gym facilities were very basic and old, particularly in terms of resistance training.
But staff are all very friendly and professional.
We had a great time overall and would definitely consider going back!
