Pros: great location, rooms are clean and modern, good in room connectivity, air con in rooms, and pretty decent shower.
Cons for me: Booked a king room, but arrived to find I was in a tiny twin room, asked if there were any other rooms available but was told the whole hotel was totally fully booked despite me still being able to book multiple rooms on multiple apps for this evening. Asked to pay for a suite or any other room and was told they are all booked (3 junior suites and 1 king room still showing on booking sites), so either they are saving these rooms or there is an issue with their room booking system, either way this isn't good
I have stayed here before and liked it, but this stay has left a sour taste.
All the staff are polite, pleasant & helpful with smiles on their faces. It genuinely feels like they enjoy their jobs. As an animal lover, it was wonderful to see Monty pattering around on the ground floor keeping an eye on everything. The bed was extremely comfortable but a shorter guest might need a step to get on to it. For me, the only downside was the size of the bathroom. The shower over the bath is modern but the space felt cramped.
Rooms are very nice but small. I would love to leave a 5-star review, but the restaurant is minimal now it’s just overpriced bland tasting food. The pizza and focaccia bread were incredible, but for some reason, they removed their two best items from the menu.
Monty the dog makes this place so special, feels like coming home! Room was fine. Only slight issues were a trainee trying to charge us twice then locking us out of our room, and housekeeping changing toiletries unnecessarily (waste of plastic) whilst not refilling drinks/biscuits (very cold and wet, needed a hot chocolate and cookie!).
